" LEE TOMLIN "

Fri Oct 18, 2019 8:49 pm

He totally changed the game when he came on and got us a point we didn't deserve.

But it has to be said, it wasn't a free kick in the first place.

He's the only person I can vote for in the MOTM poll, despite him not being on the pitch that long.

Although, possibly should have been sent off for the arm in the face.

And I'll bet that he won't start the games on Tuesday or next Sunday.

Which is wrong, in my opinion.

We will need him on Sunday especially. Dreading that match, based on tonight.

Tonight was no different from all home games except QPR opposition plenty of ball but in 2nd half teams run out ideas and city wear them down ? Swansea be no different I suspect as theyve struggled at times breaking teams down especially if opponents don't come out to play which city dont? Anyway we shall see

He's got so much flair in him. We should play him more, but he needs to work harder to get fitter in the gym.

Best player on the pitch last night by a country mile. Least fit by an even bigger margin. Such a shame, he should be the first name on the team sheet, he's 10x faster in thought than anyone else. Come on Tomlin get yourself in shape, come on City make that happen for the sake of all of us.

Third time he has got us a point coming off the bench. I am a Tomlin fan but I do understand why Warnock doesn't start him. Seems to flourish when we are chasing games and others are tiring.

Best free kick I've seen since the Whittingham days and Bellamy debut goal.

I'm glad hes got his hunger back. He's such a tw*t on the pitch, came straight on and elbowed someone in the face, I was pissing myself. He turned that game around single handedly because he wanted it that much.

But NW doesn't use him all the time off the bench ! Last night think he was forced to as we were going nowhere and definitely would have lost game without him on pitch..

Perhaps we should starting chanting tomlins name like we do for danny ward to get him off rhe bench and wake neil up to the fact we play better when tomlin plays.

Changed the game when he came on. Needs to be starting more often as he offers something no one else the team does, creativity and passing ability. We would also have someone who can take a decent corner and free kick as well.

As good as he is,WTF is happening all the time with his fitness? Doesn't look like he's sporting that famous six pack he showed off pre season :? Neil needs to ban him from greggs (joking Mr tomlin ;) because if he got that side of his game sorted,I have no doubt he would be starting most games,c'mon Lee, get your fitness up to 100%,and become a hero. :old: :bluebird:

If he had sorted his fitness from the start he would be a top 10 premier league player now not playing in the championship.
He has all the talent to play premier league football and he probably would have represented England at some stage. Even though hes had a decent career , his talent says it should have been a lot better

his fitness is still a problem. you cant be blaming a manager for not picking a player on ridiculous wages that's struggling to stay fit. I wish we could have a 90 minute LT too but it aint happening.
he pi55es me off far more than NW not starting him tbh.

His fitness would improve with game time though. He ripped Huddersfield apart in the first half and then Hoilett came on and scored the winner, he was directly involved in two goals against QPR and he came on and scored that free kick on Friday. Clearly We need him in the team as nobody else offers any sort of quality. I don’t think anyone expects him to bust a gut for 90mins but he should be getting 60mins or at least coming off the bench more often.

I haven't really caught the game due to sky's piss poor picture but so far Tomlin looks slower than my sky feed.

He ain't good enough to carry as much as we need to do.

Looks no worse than anybody else. Not a great display by any City player so far. Wards doing ok.

cant argue about needing the quality...or on his contribution of late but we have already paid this fella 2 years plus in wages for little in return and don't think match fitness is the problem when your overweight by the margin he has been..
anyway long live this run of form / effectiveness / fitness...

He's played well the last few games along with Hoilett and Ward, at last Warnock has some good options in the front line :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
