' LEE TOMLIN? ? ? '

Tuesday 15th October 2019

Warnock does not seem to trust Tomlin to play regular.

The manager this summer said he was preparing to build his team around Bobby Reid, but when his exit transpired on deadline day, that all fell to pieces.

It looked as though trust would be placed in playmaker Lee Tomlin and it has been to an extent. But Warnock clearly doesn't like the thought of playing him away from home and that becomes a big concern for the Bluebirds, whose record on the road this season is extremely poor.

It means City need a player who can unlock doors away from home and it should be a priority, as discussed by Natan Blake.

What will hurt the most is that Victor Camarasa, who endeared himself to City fans while in the Premier League last season, would be the perfect player to do that, but he is currently occupying the bench at Crystal Palace.

What a coup that would be to bring the Spaniard back to the Welsh capital on loan – it might well make all the difference.

Hes suited for home games away from home we dont play in way that is suitable for him as hes a bit of a luxury we cannot afford away from home...

Maybe he needs to play more away from home as we’ve taken 3points out of possible 18! Going away and trying to hold out for a draw from the start has to change in my opinion

Not uncommon for managers to rotate players depending on home or away matches. Malky used to play noone at home for his attacking play, and Conway away from home for his defensive ability with his work rate up and down tracking back.

Spot on. We're still playing away games like we're in the prem.

You won't get away with what we are doing away from home with the line up and formation and tactics and that's a fact.. to get points away from home you need a risk free player or two in your 11 by that I mean a player or 2 players you have to sacrifice going forward and accept that they won't work back as much as others.. don't get me wrong I understand you want 11 on the pitch that will all be giving the same amount of effort but away from home to accumulate points you need your Josh Murphy's or Lee Tomlins that can create guilt edge chances that will give us goals and a chance of points.
