‘ ANSWERS FOR CARDIFF CITY FANS ‘

Sun Oct 06, 2019 5:32 pm

VINCE ALM:

Good afternoon everyone I am receiving a high volume of messages regarding information requests for Swansea away 27th October after the club asked the travel group to get their lists in by lunchtime tomorrow.

So, here are some most FAQs I have received to date with answers for you with the information I know but some of it to be confirmed. The answers apply to all supporters including non-supporters club members who have also been in touch

All Supporters

Q. Will Swansea tickets be on sale Monday lunchtime 7th October?
A. No not yet a date has not been set

Q. Why have the club asked the travel group provide lists to them by Monday lunchtime (7th October)?
A. This is to ensure that none of the travel group hoard tickets preventing supporters who travel independently that qualify from missing out on a ticket. The ticket office will check the lists provided and when the criteria is set those who do not qualify on the list will not get a ticket

Q. What is the criteria to qualify for a ticket to the Swansea fixture?
A. The qualifying criteria has not been set yet, but the club are working to try make an announcement regarding the Criteria by Monday evening/Tuesday 7th/8th October

Q. Why has the supporters club announced 4+ games for their members to book if the criteria haven’t been set yet by the club?
A. The figure is based on our members who have travelled with the supporters club this season which has been worked out as follows;
• Cardiff have sold around 11,300 tickets away in total so far this season.
• An average of 17 per cent per game have used supporters club coaches to the six away games.
• 17 per cent of the Swansea allocation of 1600= 272
• The supporters club have record of 210 members using their coaches at least 4+ times, however not every supporter club member will use the supporters club coaches for every game and occasionally only use us for a one off or midweek away.
• Collating all this information including asking members who do not use our service to every away game on the road to Hull and West Brom games how many games they had done this season we decided to go with 4+ games. However, we do reiterate this does not GAURANTEE anyone a ticket who have done 4 games. The working out is not an exact science but a decent stab at it

Q. When will the tickets go on sale?
A. Towards the end of next week; Wednesday/Thursday

Q. Will the tickets be release in stages?
A. Yes, the club are looking to start with a high qualification first and then drop the criteria down in stages, but this has yet to be confirmed by the club

Q. How do independent travellers get a ticket and coach?
A. There have been several options discussed at the travel group meeting; If there is room with your closest travel group coach you can arrange with them first but inform the ticket office who you have arranged travel with when purchasing your ticket. Those supporters who qualify but cannot either book on a travel group coach or do not have one that suits their location can book directly with the club. Details to be confirmed

Q. If I book directly with the club how do I arrange coach travel?
A. To be confirmed but the club are hoping to take your coach and ticket money, and then you will be asked to contact the supporters club for a coach number and departure time. The number for you to contact is 07814 779441. If you could text or Whats App that number rather than ring it would be appreciated I work long hours, and due to the volume will not have time to speak to everyone.

Q. Do non supporters club members have to catch the coach from the stadium?
A. If there is room at our pick up locations you can get on the coach at that place; A list of our pick-ups points can be found on our website http://www.ccsc.co.uk Parking is FREE at the stadium if you choose to get on there
Supporters Club Members

Q. What information do I need to provide when booking?
• Name
• Age category: Adult; Over 65; Full time student with NUS card or Under 18.
• Supporters club membership Number, Your season Ticket/membership/Flexi 5 Fan ID
• What games you have attended this season

Q. When will the supporters club be open to pay?
A. before the Wales Croatia game 5.30pm to 7.20pm; Sheffield Wednesday Fixture 18th October before and after the game from 5.45pm to 7.15pm, and straight after the final whistle. Finally, to be confirmed we may open Thursday evening 24th October if there are enough committee members available to open the shop.

Q. What happens if I am a supporter’s club member but like to Purchase my own tickets?
A. You can still purchase your own ticket through Eticketing or from the ticket office but inform them you are arranging your own transport with the supporter’s club and book and pay as normal. NOTE; Please do not book coach and ticket with supporters club and then try and get your own you will be refused.

Q. Do Supporters club members from Neath/Port Talbot and West wales where is our nearest pick up
A. The supporters club will be picking up at Taibach Port Talbot Junction 40 for this fixture for those from Neath and Port Talbot. Supporters Club members from further West who do not want to take the travel direct option are welcome to get on at the proposed Taibach pickup

All Supporters

Q. What happens on the day of the game?
A. The coaches will leave their destinations make their way to Junction 47 services arriving between 8.30am and 10.00am. A voucher exchange for tickets will take then place your steward will collect the vouchers and exchange them for tickets. The tickets will then be handed out on the coach on route to the stadium.

PLEASE NOTE; anyone trying to blag tickets by jumping on a coach will have no chance you will be left outside in the coach compound. There are no reprints on the day and you will be selfishly preventing a qualified season ticket holder going by taking a seat on the coach.

Q. How long will we be at the voucher exchange and can we get off the coach?
A. The coaches will be escorted to the stadium in 3 batches; two batches of 10 and one batch of seven between 9.00am and 10.00am. Those who arrive early for their slot supporters will be allowed off the coach for a short period of time. The 10 supporters’ coaches have been asked to get there before 9.00am as the intention is to escort the supporters and club coaches in first

Hope this helps to explain some of the information you require for your questions.

The idea here is to to do everything possible to deter fans from making the trip which of course wont work due to demand? All it will do is aggravate fans adding fuel to an allready charged situation.

Totally agree mate, all this "bubble" crap is totally OTT, we all know the score regarding causing trouble and the penalties that follow if caught, it's just not worth losing your liberty for. Hopefully at some stage in the future us Cardiff fans will be training it down there which is how it should be, until then it's on the telly. :bluescarf:

To a certain extend I understand the need for the security, but after reading all that I have decided to give it a miss even though I qualify. Hats off to those going but I ain't going through all that just to watch a game of football-and then to be treated like shit while we are there- its not worth it. Especially with game on TV and strong chance of Wales in the rugby semis beforehand as a starter.
