Warnock as done brilliant but I think it’s time for a change we gone back a mile

Thing is, we get these reactions after every defeat. There is a long way to go, and it is a very competitive league. We have no God given rights to be at the top, it was always going to be a tough season. For me, WBA are the likely winners of this league, and I never believed we could do better than scrape into the play offs this season. I am not fussed on our style of play, but I didn't like it much the season before last either. It still got us up though. If we win a couple of games on the bounce, we will be back in the mix. :bluescarf:

Steve we lack consistency! Played great 1st 15/20 mins then they took over but we were comfortable couldn't do much 1st goal but 2nd typified what's wrong this season and that's playing about 30yds outsid the opposition area and then lose ball quick break no tackle in midfield and goal... we get chance quick break and it's one ball forward 2 sideways and one back then long ball! Our one quick break should have resulted in goal just unfortunately ball bit high... top 6 at best I feel

To be honest Allan, I thought top 6 would be the best we could do before the season started. In this league, that would not be a bad achievement. I think everyone recognises this as a tough league to get out of. I have a feeling WBA & Leeds may get automatic promotion, and after that, anything is possible with whoever gets to the playoffs. If we are able to get there, I wouldn't think there are many managers I would rather have than Warnock to steer us through those sort of matches. Still a long way to go.

For me Warnock is the King and i still back him 100%, some people forget our position when he took over. Having said that we've looked vulnerable all season when defending as a team, we did against QPR, we did today. Glatzel and Bacuna were bad signings in my opinion. Especially Bacuna, our midfield needs work. Where is Will Vaulks? Will Sol Bamba make that much difference? Need him back to discover that.

True if get there he's the one.! Whilst think top 6 is easier to achieve it us possible the team will gel and stop making elementary mistakes that's costing us goals? Tbh people will disagree with me but whilst wba played well take look at stats very surprising reading we only lost the possession stats rest were basically 50/50 which shows we competed with probably the best team in championship... so not all doom gloom yet!

Agree Allan, not all doom n gloom. Goal attempt Stats were pretty even when i checked on 80 minutes. We are improving and in touching distance of recapturing past form. Maybe Bamba will solidify our defence and boost moral.

Yes something like that bamba is all action which is what's lacking at back? we are to slow to hassle forwards so lose goals unessasary . Not far away but frustratingly so..

Totally disagree.
No one better than Warnock at the moment.
Time for change at end of season,

Re: Change needed

Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:56 pm

I agree he won’t get backing during January transfer window maybe just loan signings, we need to change and get a better brand of football warnock has been a brilliant manager got us promoted and had a crack of the perm and in my opinion he should have stepped down at the end of the season,
We need to start planning for our next manager sooner rather than later

I can't see how we'll become a pretty footballing side without major surgery. It won't just happen with fillers here or there.

How about you put forward a counter point to him instead of calling him names?

Surely these dull one liner put downs you seem accustomed to these days can’t be the be all there is to you?

6 points off top...4 off play offs in a tight league where no one has pulled away...NW is right man for this scenario

It's a hard situation

I think 99% of us agree on the horrible football
And there are also alot of us wanting to see players get there dues when there nit getting enough game time.

Personally I dont think warnock is the manager he was
Hes been a god at this level without a dout but hes never achieved higher
My worry is if we were to some how win the playoffs how can manage a team and build on what we have ?

If we stay where we are who could manage what we have especially with the tactics we have been playing ?

Also who wants to buy warnock moulded players as we havent made much money from anyone that has gone ?

Sorry. Keyboard skills lacking.

I agree completely.

The only player Sir Neil has sighed that we've not then given away for free I think is Bobby Reid?

Re: Change needed

Thu Oct 10, 2019 8:53 pm

The trouble is, supposedly, he is a great man manager but he likes a certain player. They don’t have to have quality but run around a lot. Our midfield is crap, our wingers are not delivering so he blames the striker; despite a massive lack of service, for missing one of the few chances he gets. Strikers miss chances, but they need service, and decent service.
Defensively we are not great and Bennett is so off the pace it’s unreal. But, we let Cunningham go so there is no pressure on him to play well.
Sadly Warnock has had his moment. We don’t have enough quality through the squad and with his last few transfer windows I wouldn’t back him. What was the point of Cunningham, Reid, vaulks etc.
