I completely disagree from what I’ve seen.
I think he’s twice the player Gunnarsson was especially in the last few years where mostly his contribution on the pitch was running around wildly, pointing a lot and passing to the opposition.
Pack brings much more control to the midfield, a calmness in which he rarely seems rushed and actually passes the ball well.

respectfully.... thats revisionist nonsense. Gunnars always got a raw deal from some, despite far outplaying and outperforming Pack over many years.
Packs done ok, nothing special atm and was sloppy several times on wednesday.

Mate, it’s not revisionist, it’s my own views from what I see with my own eyes.
Gunnarsson was a spent force in my opinion for the reasons I’ve given but of course, as ever, it’s all about differing opinions.
At the level our team is at the moment I think he’s like a like a breath of fresh air.

So you're a 'revisionist' now then, mate!![]()

A strange use of the term, which effectively accuses you of changing your mind![]()
Not sure how that could have occurred after he (Pack) has only just joined, so any earlier comparison would be difficult to say the least. But hey-ho!
I'm with you on your comments. Marlon Pack has been a breath of fresh air when playing and it showed when he was injured so early. The team took a couple of games to re-adjust when it was clear the game-plan was built around him doing his specific job
As for Gunnar? A decent player for Cardiff City but he stayed at least one (and probably two) year too long IMHO and whilst being an important squad member, he didn't rise to the standards once seen of him
