NEIL WARNOCK: ‘ TO STAY ON AS A MANAGER? ‘

Mon Sep 30, 2019 7:00 am

Remember Warnock has already recently gone on record to two newspapers in Scotland including the Daily Record, that he believes he could help Hearts or Hibs challenge Rangers & Celtic.

After drawing 2-2 away at Hull City

NEIL WARNOCK:

“WHO KNOWS IF THIS WILL BE MY LAST SEASON?”

“I know I have been saying every campaign will be my final one, but I love new challenges,
But I can’t give it up while I am still enjoying it.”

“At my age you don’t look to far ahead, there are new challenges out there, so you can never say never in football.”

I’ve loved Warnock as manager here and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season a lot.
I’m looking forward to us improving, winning more and making a challenge for the play offs. I certainly support him without doubts.

Saying that, I think come the end of the season, I believe it’s time Warnock retired or moved on from the club.

Just throwing this out there. We often hear that players don't quite perform the same for a manager they know is leaving at the end of the season. Maybe this is NW's way of focusing the players by hinting he may stay if the club is promoted?

I don't think Sir Neil is that clever or adept at man management to say it for that reason. He flippantly says so many things that you can't take too much of it seriously. If he is going to get another job elsewhere there is some motivation for some of the players to do well for Sir Neil to take them with him.

I hope he stays another season. Worked miracles with us.

I’d be delighted if he committed his future to us beyond this season! Best manager we’ve ever had.

what he actually said was that "he would have liked to "In the past" manage the two clubs to give celtic and rangers a run for their money"
