So why not do the obvious? Pick Pack and Bacuna together in the middle and leave out Ralls.
Yet you can't really see that happening either.
Ralls has been a midfield kingpin in Warnock's eyes, pretty much from the moment he joined the club.
He loves Ralls' energy, work-rate, tough tackling and ability to strike an excellent set-piece.
Warnock revealed post-Hull that Ralls has been playing with an injury, demonstrating his commitment to the cause.
But Warnock thinks he can get through the QPR and West Brom games, then rest up during the international break and be fully on song for the next match after that at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Ralls' unspecified injury may yet provide Warnock with the excuse to leave him out.
But it doesn't sound like he will.
On the other hand, there are others putting up their hands for a starting spot.
