MY VIEW: A GAME OF FEW CHANCES / CARDIFF ONCE AGAIN NOT CREA

Sat Sep 28, 2019 3:55 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

A GAME OF FEW CHANCES / CARDIFF ONCE AGAIN NOT CREATING ENOUGH & THIS TIME COST THEM THE 2PTS AGAINST A VERY VERY POOR HULL CITY SIDE.

Cardiff looked the better team in both halfs, but conceded a goal at the end of each half, but thankfully after conceeding the goals came alive and equalised.

CARDIFF 100% DID NOT DESERVE TO LOSE THIS GAME & GATZEL & WARD BOTH SCORED TO RESCUE A POINT :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Smithy mad a brilliant save in the 93rd min. :bluebird:

Cardiff in the 55th min got a well deserved equaliser from Glatzel :bluebird: :bluebird:

First-Half : The majority of the play was in the Hull City half. Hull were a poor team and virtually did nothing.

Smithiie had nothing to do other than accept back passes, Only thing missing from Cardiff was a goal and then bang against the run of play 44th min Hull made it 1-0 from. Free kick

City's failure in front of goal costly in the first-half.

Warnock made three changes from the win over Boro, bringing in Glatzell, Hoilett & Pack.

The atmosphere by the home crowd (Hull) was worse than awful.

Josh Murphy Danny Ward Omar Bogle

Cardiff had the better of the first 20mins with Junior Hoilett hitting the crossbar.

Cardiff know how to be tough with their opponents & made their physical presence felt.

Cardiff should of buried Hull in the first-half.

Then in the 44th min Hull scored against the run of play.

City's failure in front of goal costly in the first-half.

H/T 1-0

55th min Cardiff equalised through Robert Glatzel, who convertsed Leandro Bacuna’s cross from the left 1-1 :thumbright: :bluebird:

Hull then took control of the game, with a couple of moments of good football leaving Cardiff defending deeply. Bowen causing all sorts of problems in the number 10 role with both sides looking to counter one another.

72nd min Cardiff made two changes

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Danny Ward came on for Robert Glatzel and Gavin Whyte.

81st min
Josh Murphy came on for Junior Hoilett.

Cardiff were going for the 3pts and were taking the game to Hull.

A game of few chances, 89th min header 2-1

90th min Danny Ward :bluebird: :bluebird: 2-2 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Smithie mad a brilliant save in the 93rd min. :bluebird:

We created good opportunities but didn't have a finish to go with chances! Feel dropped points as we were the better team... but still unbeaten and as we know a point away is a good point. :bluescarf:

I would have taken a point before kick off, an away point has to be earned and another game unbeaten. Turn some of these draws into wins and we will soon be going in the right direction.

Very frustrating though Steve but funny thing said to mrs they will score just before they did was just way game was going! But a point along the way is always good regardless of who play..

Six league games unbeaten is a good return after Wigan and Reading defeats.
We still don't have a consistent starting 11 which is my worry.
4 points from every 6 will see us there or thereabouts come May.
I think that's 5 points we have got late on in games this season which is a sign of never giving up.

It's a case of so near so far when it comes to points lost when should won game? If got half points we deserved we would be just off top? :old:

Personally i'm disappointed with our start, 3 scrappy wins out of 9 played and we have yet to have played any of the teams in the top 9. The next few games will give us an indicator to how good we are and we will have to up our game. every game so far has been winnable but not once have we won comfortably. at present we have mid table mediocrity stamped all over us.

I thought we played well to be honest. Obviously conceding the goals was sloppy but I'm on the way home feeling more positive then negative about our season

I agree with Annis and other posters who point to our finishing as our main worry at the moment. I even half joked today that in training they must practise missing sitters ;)

Happy with a point in the end but it Sounds like it’s the same old story from what I’ve read about the game. Game should have been put to bed but city not taking their chances. Unless we start being more clinical I think we might be chasing top 6 all season.

Agreed, said the same,a point would be good, should have had all 3 sewn up by half time, and also could have folded after their 2nd,but kept going :ayatollah: would have been hard to take losing that game, but 6 unbeaten,we are in a ok position, with no doubt better to come, players coming back to fitness, the only way is up :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
