What a load of b@locks, how can you possibly predict something like that maybe you can tell us how many saves etheridge will make on his return,and I can slam a bet on and by the way,I'm an etheridge fan,but we haven't lost a league game whilst Smithies has been in,so for me deserves his place (for now anyway)as the saying goes,if it ain't broke,don't fix it.

I personally like both keepers and don't care to much who plays. Don't really agree with running down the other because you like one more than the other.

Personally think Smithies deserves his place and has done very well. Unlucky with the free kick today, did well to get close to it.

I personally would keep with Smithies as if stands.

Like Warnock said, we’ve got two of the best goalkeepers in the division.
We’re lucky and I’m not too bothered at the moment who plays.

With regards to distribution, Smithies kicking is slightly better but it doesn’t really matter or come in to it as all we do is lump it up there and lose possession anyway.

I believe Etheridge edges it and think he’ll regain his no.1 slot sooner rather than later.

It is a close call on both keepers and both are good at this level

The best decision Warnock has made Is keeping Smithies in goal as it has shown that no matter how popular another player is , if you play well you keep your place. No favourites.

His value rises because of a good prem season, I still think we should have sold. Probably like Marshall his price will drop and drop now.

He is quite a decent keeper, 7.9 out of 10 in the Championship, Etheridge 9 out of 10, is probably the best keeper in the Championship, especially now Butland is having a bad spell, so he comes back in next game if he is back up to full speed!

I don't see why, surely they budgeted for this.

Although I see the logic in selling him if the club can still get a decent fee. Oddly what Etheridge said about him being happy as a number 2 in the prem and waiting for his chance would have worked out, linked with Liverpool and West Ham and would now most likely be both there number 1's if even for a few months.

no,people are saying that Smithies has been quite good in his time so far,he's still worth them amounts, but just because he is number 1,shouldn't mean a keeper who has performed well automatically loses his place kept a clean sheet tonight,so in my opinion,deserves to keep his place.for now at least.hasn't done anything to suggest he should be dropped, although some on here believe etheridge would have saved them goals Smithies had conceded them with the crystal ball
