Signs for Huddersfield until the end of the season.

Can't help feeling he was a no brainer especially until the end of the season.

Not the club's policy to sign anybody with Premier League experience.

I would say his 50k a week wages were more of a problem

He was out of contract, he wage was zero per week. What he was on at Leicester is totally irelevent.

I somehow doubt bottom of the league Huddersfield are paying him 50k a week

So you think he would drop from 50k turnaround 10k to play for us ?

Just because he was not working doesnt mean he wasnt asking for big money, he is a premier league winning full back who is still young and in his prime.

I would imagine he is being paid 35k plus to go to huddersfield for a season plus a signing bonus. They are desperate to stay up.

The fact he only signed until the end of the season speaks volumes.

Personally wouldn't class 32 as young, 33 in January.

What he was paid at Leicester is totally irelevent, the fact he was on a reported 50k last season means nothing as obviously no one was going to pay him that again.

Your making a lot of assumptions, on wages and bonuses which seem a little OTT to me.

Not sure what him singing until the end of the season makes. Would have been perfect for us with a new manager coming in.

Id assume he's on somewhere between 10-20k a week. With the way Huddersfield have been cutting back on wages and transfers this season id be very surprised if they're spending much more on a guy who's almost 33.
