Blimey - I have no problem with those who regularly go to away matches getting the first bite of the cherry but for me, this is the first season, due to personal circumstances, that I am able to go to away matches. I was planning to get to as many as I could but at this rate I’m not sure I will be allowed

I was told at supporters shop that clubs are reducing away allocation we seen this drastically at reading? So unfortunately quite a lot games going to be difficult for fans who only go away occasionally due to circumstances! And being early in season not many games to qualify for WBA midweek seems best opportunity to go...

I have no issue with the qualifying criteria even though I need to wait (and hope) to get a ticket on Wednesday for West Brom. I am more concerned that we seem to get worse allocations when there is clearly a demand for more in certain games. Our record in recent years as fans must be no worse than most but we still get treated as second class. I wouldn't mind betting that most clubs visiting West Brom get more than a 2000 allocation and how are the league allowing this to happen

If reading is anything to go theyve reduced amount of seats available to away fans? Sounds like others doing same, Cutting policing costs maybe the reason?

well this is bloody stupid, Local trip and shit allocation.
I expected good numbers for this game from the traveling Cardiff faithful,
PS. I can get tickets in the home end next to us, In seats of 3s... from a work colleague so more the better
Not ideal but why not just give us more??

To be fair the Hawthorns only holds 27,000 so 2,000 is not dissimilar to us giving 2,700 or whatever it is at our ground really.
Plus they normaly get 23/24,000 without full away ends so 2,000 seems about right and fair to me.

Why wouldn't you be allowed? If you went to Wigan (there was no restriction after first few days of sales); you could've gone to Reading.
Blackburn, Derby, Hull have also all not sold out.

I understand what you say but I was on holidays for Wigan and therefore couldn't get a ticket for Reading. The club has made a huge error in not rewarding last seasons aways imo as I did 13 aways.
I've not bothered going away this season and I get I could've gone to Blackburn, Derby and Hull

I’m gutted about the criteria for this match but realise it’s fair.it just feels a little over the top. It’s the first away match we can attend this season and I even booked time off for it. Now can’t go due to criteria. I will be over the other side of England when the match is and we were going to drive over toit. So it’s not even like it would have been local.

Never had a problem getting tickets away in championship before but perhaps it’s because the allocation is small or perhaps our fan base has increased.
Tue Sep 24, 2019 6:48 pm
It's not a small allocation though, 2,000 in a stadium that holds about 27,000, less with segregation is about right.
How many did people think we were going to get? I have been a few times I don't ever remember us getting more than 2-2200 tickets or so at the Hawthorns.
Millwall had even less on the opening day, they were only given 1,300 odd then managed to get a couple of hundred extra.
Its not like it's a massive stadium or going to behalf empty like Reading.

Its heavily weighted towards season ticket holders. Away member had to have done 4 aways yet s/t holders need to have done 2. Never had issues before getting ticks. Its all to do with this fuckin Swansea game, which is the only game I would actively avoid away from home with all the hassle of a bubble.
