The Bluebirds have a number of key players returning to full fitness in the coming month.
MARLON PACK & SOL BAMBA
Key Cardiff City duo Marlon Pack and Sol Bamba will both take part in full training this week as they edge closer to full fitness.
Bamba, who has been out since undergoing surgery on his knee back in March, has been champing at the bit to get back into the fray and is two months ahead of schedule.
Pack, meanwhile, has largely been consigned to the gym until now, but the midfielder will take part in full training this week after responding well to rehabilitation.
It is understood the pair will train with the first team tomorrow, with the club opting not to utilise the Under-23s' game against Coventry as a means to ramp up their return to full match fitness.
City, however, are planning on a full contact, inter-club game at their Vale of Glamorgan HQ tomorrow in order to obtain a better assessment of their returning stars' fitness situation.
It is unlikely, however, manager Neil Warnock will throw them both into the squad for the visit to Hull City this weekend, especially without a game for the Under-23s under their belts.
Cardiff are finalising the details of a game against West Wales side Llanelli, which looks the most likely opportunity for one of, if not both, Bamba or Pack to make their return to the playing arena.
ROBERT GLATZEL
Robert Glatzel, who missed Saturday's win over Middlesbrough, is still absent from training with his illness. We understand he might not be able to train until Thursday, which once again puts his place in the side for the trip to Hull in jeapordy.
Josh Murphy, who Warnock revealed was taken off at half time against Boro owing to a bout of sickness and diarrhoea, did not train today, either. However it is understood his illness is not as severe as Glatzel's and he could return tomorrow.
JAZZ RICHARDS
Elsewhere, Jazz Richards will undergo a full week of rehab on an ankle he damaged in training during a collision with Aden Flint. The club are hopeful he will be back in full training before the international break October.
