Randell Williams appears to be a man in demand

Cardiff City are among a host of clubs reportedly interested in Exeter City winger Randell Williams.

According to Team Talk , Nottingham Forest, QPR and Huddersfield are also monitoring the 22-year old, who's been in impressive form for the Grecians this season.

Williams, a former Tottenham youth star, has appeared in 11 games for City this season, having arrived at the club on a free transfer from Watford back in January.

He has since gone on to be a big part of Exeter's first team, and the Devon club are reportedly expecting him to attract attention from clubs higher up the footballing food chain.

The strength of Cardiff's interest remains to be seen, but Neil Warnock does have a track record of dipping into the lower leagues for attacking talent.

The likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Gavin Whyte have been plucked from the lower leagues and have gone on to shine for Cardiff under the Yorkshireman, and Williams may well be view as a player in the same mould.

The winger has so far earned three assists for the Grecians, who currently sit to of League Two after a run of six wins and four draws from their opening 10 games.

Fed up with stories with linking us with stories from lower leagues....not at top championship players....or those in PL but not getting game time.
We can only take so many unproven players

Winger is one of few positions in the team where we don't need any more players.

Cardiff City are not currently lining up a move for Exeter City winger Randell Williams.

It was reported yesterday that the Bluebirds were among a host of clubs interested in the 22-year-old former Tottenham youth star.

Williams has appeared in 11 games for Exeter this season, having arrived at the club on a free transfer from Watford back in January, and, according to Team Talk , has drawn interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest, QPR and Huddersfield.

City are happy with their current lot of Murphy, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Gavin Whyte and Junior Hoilett and do not consider wingers as a priority at present and are not monitoring the Grecians' wide man.

If they are not at least watching him then our scouting network needs looking at because he is a very good young player.
We may not make a bid but he should at least be on the radar even if we dont need his position currently
