Sporting CP keen to work with Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan - reports
Vincent Tan is already involved with four football clubs
As well as Cardiff City, Tan owns Belgian Belgian First Division KV Kortrijk and Bosnian club FK Sarajevo and is co-owner of MLS side Los Angeles FC.

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan on Friday played host to the top brass of Portuguese giants Sporting CP, reportedly to discuss collaborating in the future.
Sporting's CEO Miguel Cal and the club's head of international business development, Nuno Fernando Cardoso, met Tan at Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital.
The Sun Daily report that the meeting was organised because Sporting are particularly keen to collaborate with key Malaysian football figures.
As well as Cardiff City, Tan owns Belgian Belgian First Division KV Kortrijk and Bosnian club FK Sarajevo and is co-owner of MLS side Los Angeles FC.
It is claimed Sporting are eager to work with Tan's network of clubs in hope of creating an agreement which will mutually benefit all involved.
The Portuguese club are particularly excited by the prospect of working with Tan owing to his experience of working in the US and the success he has brought Cardiff City during his reign as Bluebirds owner.
Cardiff have reaped rewards from Tan's football network before. They signed Kenneth Zohore from KV Kortrijk in 2016 and this summer sold him to West Brom for £8million, making the Welsh club a massive profit.
Bluebirds fans will hope Cardiff can enjoy a similar relationship with a club of Sporting's standing, with the Portuguese outfit having produced the world-class talents of Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo in recent years.

God id love it if we were able to take some of Sporting's players on loan. Possibly go down the Wolves route, but doubt anything will come of it.

We can always dream, but we'll need to drastically change our style if we want players like that

Be nice if we could get a couple of loans out of this if anything.

Surely Sporting are looking to get something out of this? They might lend us some players but they won't be the best they have otherwise they would play for Sporting.
Also does this mean Sporting would have first pick on players from VT's other clubs in Belgium and Bosnia rather than us?
Also what if we were promoted back to the PL and stayed there? We would be bigger financially than Sporting so would that mean they were our feeder club

Wouldn’t surprise me if this was another rubbish rumour.
They were probably seen having a meal together and somebody’s just presumed what it was about.

KV Kortrijk was bought for 5 million euro by Vincent Tan on 12 May 2015 and he still owns this.
In March 2019 it is announced that ownership majority package for
Sarajevo was sold to Vietnamese businessman Nguyễn Hoài Nam and the PVF Investment and Trading.
He still owns 20% stake at
LAFC.
