Norwich 19th this time last year...

Sat Sep 14, 2019 6:41 pm

Sky commentators just said this time last season norwich were right down there, 19th i think he said and in terrible form.
But then they turned it around and went on hell of a run and won the league.

Hopefully we can be the same, slow start but really start to push on. Im hoping when etheridge bamba and pack are back we will be a different team and solid defensively and really hard to beat.
Also as we have seen tomlin and glatzel link really well so if we have tomlin as the magic man and now hopefully glatzel has scored his first goal he can really kick on and score us the goals we need. Hopefully there is hope yet bluebirds :bluescarf: :bluebird: :ayatollah:

Good post and I hope you're right but one major difference is that they had a goalscorer who scored over 20 goals and it's difficult to see any of our players getting anywhere near that amount this season.

We've not had anybody get anywhere that amount since the Chopra years.

Valid point but we’ve been promoted twice since then.

Also a valid point!

Which is why it so annoying when people keep talking about the league at this stage of the season no point in even looking at it yet.

Just look at out own results we need to be getting around 10 points from each group of 6. We had 8 from the first 6 so just below but we will be much better when we have Bamba and Etheridge back. I fully expect us to be top 6 as I have said all along.

And where were Fulham two years ago!

Murphy and Glatzel are starting to form an understanding, but someone(Tomlin) needs to be lying deeper to complement that. Whyte also has a part to play in support of Glatzel in the box. Problem is, the ball is hoofed up too quickly so Glatzel is isolated.

When we play through the floor, its much more of a threat.

Yes valid point but glatzel looks like he has all the attributes to be a 20 goal striker, just needs to fully adapt and get that goalscoring confidence (hopefully now he can grow in confidence after putting that penalty in sublimely)

Hoilett can add to our creativity and goal threat too, he looked good when he came on v derby, him and murphy on the wings could be good, for me whyte is not any good end product isnt there no goal threat

If he is keeping with Whyte and Murphy on the wings I’d like to see him start Hoilett as the number 10.

That major difference? He was,as Glatzel is,a relative unknown quantity, not even Norwich fans were expecting the kind of player he turned out to be,and they will most likely lose him come January, especially if he keeps up his outstanding form.not saying Glatzel will be the same (but I can dream),especially the way we set up,but maybe if neil let's the reigns go at home,as he did at man utd last year,we could still be up there or thereabouts come Christmas, and with a few additions in the Jan window, who knows :?: my cup is still half full, keep the faith. :ayatollah: :old: :bluebird:
