" Leandro Bacuna "

Fri Sep 13, 2019 10:55 pm

My MOTM tonight again.

Think he's doing better at this level than many give him credit for.

When you consider the week he has had as well, he's doing great.

Posting this because he tends to get a lot of unfair criticism on this forum.

Have to agree, Ralls has been our best player all season but tonight Bacuna was better. That won’t stop fans using him as a scapegoat though

No one really stood out for me, a workman like performance which is fine.

He is certainly doing a lot better than I expected. I still think he makes way when Pack is fit.

Thought he his passing was a bit loose throughout. He gave it a go tho.

He covered huge amounts of ground. I think he is benefiting from having an extended run in the team for the first time since he arrived with us. I’d still put a fit Pack in front of him though for his better distribution

Hes a very average championship midfielder. He would not get in any other top 6 side in this league and he wont get in ours when Pack is back.

He is playing quite well at the moment but I dont think he should play with Ralls, they are too similar and it limits us going forward.

Agreed, he cannot pass the ball and always lets his player get the wrong side of him which often leads him to commit the foul to stop him getting away. He tries but isn’t good enough.

Fully expect Pack to come straight back in when fit.

After his season start, Marlon Pack is a Warnock 'shoe-in' :ayatollah:

I agree with your thoughts.
He’s a good to decent championship player but his passing his not half as loose as Gunnarsson’s was!

I also think Pack walks back in when fit.

Been a big critic of him especially after the Reading game. But last few games he has one of our best players so pleased to be proved wrong.

Me too,I would go as far to say on the evidence of the last two games he actually looks a better player than Pack who is very good at being a defensive holding type midfielder but doesn't add much going forward.

Yes better than I thought but not outstanding. Saying that, an improvement on gunnarson

see i'd keep him in the side when pack comes back, and drop ralls to the bench, i like ralls, i do. but i think with pack as a ball winning midfielder, infront of the back 4, bacunna playing a box to box, more defensively, it could give a solid cover to the back 4, and allow our full backs to push up and support our wide men.

Ralls has been our best player all season!! Dropping him would be madness.

He’s a poor championship midfielder, runs like a crab and loses the ball. Centre mid is a massive issue. So much space for the opposition.

I thought he played very well - a bit like pogba but doesn't have an end product - looked rusty and knackered after 70 min however he just flew back the day before so theres an excuse

He’s definitely improved as the season has gone on but he’s still a very average championship midfielder. For me, Pack comes straight back into the starting 11 when he’s fit.

Hes for many been our best player in the last two games. If he maintains that level he stays in the side regardless of who's fit. A team cannot be picked on preconceived opinions but selection is down to fitness and form.

No it’s not.
Some players will walk back into the first eleven regardless of the form of their replacement.
