Cardiff City Club News
Wednesday 4th September 2019
Following a busy start to the season for the Bluebirds, the September international break has arrived.
For many City players the break will offer a respite as they prepare to continue playing Championship football on Friday, September 13th against Derby County at Pride Park.
However, several Cardiff City squad members will head out to play on the international stage this week, having been called up by their respective countries for a number of competitive and friendly international fixtures...
Leandro Bacuna
Having made five appearances so far in the 2019/20 season, Leandro Bacuna will travel to play for Curaçao as they are set to play Haiti twice in the international break as a part of the CONCACAF Nations League. Curaçao, who won the 2019 King's Cup in Thailand in June, are in Group D in the top division of the Nations League, and will be named in the final four teams in the tournament if they come out at the top of their group, following fixtures against Haiti and Costa Rica.

Wales will then play against Belarus for a friendly match on the following Monday.

Neil Warnock has revealed his delight after Cardiff City youngster Ciaron Brown earned his first cap for Northern Ireland tonight.
The defender, 21, was called up from the under-21s to start at centre back for the friendly against Luxembourg at Windsor Park.
Brown, who can play both centrally and on the left, has impressed the Bluebirds coaching staff over the last six months and as such has been included in the first-team fray this season.
The young Bluebird was named in Ian Baraclough's under-21s this week for the European Championship qualifiers against Malta and Finland.
However, Northern Ireland coach Michael O'Neill asked Brown, as well as Leeds United's Alfie McCalmont and Hearts teenager Bobby Burns, to step up and train with the senior side ahead of the clash with Luxembourg.
It is understood Brown grabbed the coaching staff's attention during the training sessions and was subsequently handed a spot in the starting lineup.
City signed Brown for around £10,000 from Wealdstone back in January 2018, but he was put out on loan to Livingston earlier this year to gain some much-needed first-team experience.
