Cardiff City set for injury boost ahead of Derby County clash
By Jonny Bonell

Cardiff City hope to be boosted by the return of several key players for their Championship fixture with Derby County.

The Bluebirds head into the international break on the back of a home draw against Fulham, while Derby were beaten 3-0 at Brentford.

Striker Isaac Vassel, Jazz Richards and the influential Sol Bamba all missed the 1-1 with the Cottagers but have two weeks to recover in time for their trip to Pride Park Stadium.

It will be a first meeting between the two since the controversial encounter at the back end of the 2017-18 season – as the Rams won 3-1 at Pride Park. That came after the original fixture had been postponed, with “Snowgate” saga ensuing.

It’s all change 18 months down the line, though, and City boss Neil Warnock is hoping to call on his key men for the game.

“There will be a couple of lads back,” Warnock said of the injured players ahead of the international break.

“Vassell had to miss (the Fulham game) due to an injection in his ankle – and Jazz Richards isn’t far away now.

“Sol Bamba is really doing well in training – and it’ll be difficult to keep hold of him. He’ll be desperate to be involved."

Who does Bamba come in for? Personally I’d drop Morrison but I can’t see Warnock dropping him though

Dont thank him too hard, hes not back yet.

If we can keep Jazz fit it will improve the right side of our attack a lot more - plus he’ll be able to keep the ball much better. Let’s just hope that we don’t lose him again.

Clubs should be allowed to terminate contract,if a player is persistently injured ,under the "not fit for purpose "banner, just like in the real world, where else would you be allowed to be paid, for a couple of years of not doing the job you are paid to do,all while you're colleagues take up the slack for you :?: seems madness to me  :old: :bluebird:
