Crowd turning ?

Wed Aug 28, 2019 7:32 am

You could feel the crowd around me slowly turning against Warnock last night Not a Warnock out thing but lots of questions Around Has he lost the changing room , Does he have the desire any more, when are we going to see our side play with passion again
Most seemed resigned to not seeing entertaining football while Warnock is here Personally when his team is up for it I love the way they play but last night ranks as one of the worse games I have seen from a City side Lack of effort , lack of skill and crowd resigned to what they were seeing Also the worst Centre midfield performance I have ever seen in Patterson ( Hopefully Just unfit ) because his effort was appalling

Totally agree. It started as frustration but now it's genuine concern.

Without our spirit what have we got? We're a mess

theres no one and I mean no one out there who could come in here and do any better at least from this country anyway
nearly all that starting eleven last night wont get a sniff in the team
so come on support the boys and stick behind the best manager here in years :bluescarf:

Yes a small crowd but full of diehard supporters who turn up for all games Not meaningless cup to them Think it was the lack of effort seen in this game and the Reading game The minimum our fans ask for is effort and we did not see it So the first 11 and our reserves have shown lack of effort in recent games
I will be there again on Friday and supporting but as said there is a rumbling amongst the fans of an emerging discontent from the diehards who turned up

I don't get how any of the 4k turned up not knowing it was a game of 22 players who mostly will not start for their clubs Saturday and therefore a bit of a lottery

It was a big competition a long time back. I can still remember Don Rogers' goal for Swindon against Arsenal in a final many years back. The simple fact is that it is no longer important to most clubs, and the majority will only start playing their strongest side in the latter stages of the cup. A quick look at attendances will tell you that it is not only our club and their fans who are not really interested in this competition. I am surprised if any of our fans were shocked by last night's result. I thought it could be four or five nil to either side, nothing would have surprised me after watching these early stages in recent years. As I said on here yesterday afternoon, I wouldn't cross the road to watch this sort of a tie, and on a personal level, the result was always going to be completely irrelevant as far as I was concerned.

same here , ive gone to this sort of match in the past when commitments allowed and at a loose end but knowing what sort of game im going to see. I thought everyone knew , these results do not mean Crawley are better than Norwich or Colchester better than Palace.

I am sure Norwich could have put out a side quite capable of beating Crawley if they had wanted. They obviously have far more important things to achieve this season rather than a run in this reserve team competition. We also have far more important priorities, but unfortunately, I feel they are more likely to achieve theirs than we will. I live in hope, and possibly we can still get a play off place if things go our way. Was always a big ask, but who knows? :ayatollah:

Yes most knew is was not going to be the first team but that is not the point It was the way we played and the effort from the players The team though did have 6 players who have been part of the first team and are likely to be in the match day squad for Fulham and non of the Luton starting 11 in league game started for Luton in the cup

Don’t forget the type of team we put out in the early rounds of that cup run.

We almost went out in the first round against oxford.
