puzzled that how these players who were good enough to win promotion despite be tactically hamstrung by a manager have not all been snapped up in 20 mill deals.

Puzzled how? Zohore (Who alot of people on here didn't rate AT ALL, not including me) Went for 8m, Etheridge could have EASILY gone for 10m in the summer. Mendez-Laing could go for 5m (And I wouldn't even accept that if I was Warnock), Gunnarsson had he had a few more years on his contract would have definitely been worth a good 5m (Definitely more if it wasn't for his age). Bruno was sold for 2m, just because he wanted to play in the french league but I'm sure everyone here believes he's worth alot more than that, again he would be worth alot more again if he was younger.
Just because players don't go for alot, doesn't mean they're not worth alot to the club. Manga is clearly the best example there. We paid 6m for Flint and how much better do you think Manga is? Miles better in my opinion. Someones age doesn't determine how good they are for a club, if they're good that season then they're good. I can assure you if all of our players were 23/24 they would definetely have been snatched off us by now. Look at Zohore, perfect example, barely any goals but he's gone for 8m purely for his current ability and potential.
I stick by what I said. The group of players we had would have won the league more comfortably had we implimented a more sustainable attacking threat with posession, as apposed to relying on the opposition missing their open shot and then we hit it up to our target man and that's where the "lucky bounces" begin. This season is the perfect example of what happens MOST of the time you try and play that style of football, it's hit and miss. And it's certainly something that rarely gets you promoted. Warnock has had 5 Promotions from the championship, and how many season has he had?
Looking even further he's managed 1470 games, & has a win percentage of 40% (Bare in mind he's rarely managed in the top flight).
40% is pretty much how we've started this season with our form the way it is, so let's take our "I <3 Warnock" shirts off for a second and look at how we're playing because it's abysmal.
