Waste of a season

Tue Aug 27, 2019 8:32 pm

What’s the point in giving Neil the extra season. He’s not going to be here next year, the players aren’t arsed and he’s thrown away money giving contracts to Day, Nelson alongside signing Whyte and a 30 year old Flint. Why wait for the transition when we may as well have made it already .

I’m sure I read somewhere, that he’ll walk Christmas time if we’re doing poorly.

He best not walk on us before the seasons out if he’s leaving us in a mess. This season is almost turning into a vanity project.

Agree.
The moment a manager says hes going he should go.
Bigger clubs and better managers have struggled in Man Utd with AF and Arsenal with AW.
Recruitment impossible for us with a manager whose going and a playing style no one adopts. No chance whatsoever of any young loanees from PL clubs as theyd never allow.
If we're not careful we will soon be in a worse place than when Sir Neil took over

Yes, way to early to right this season off, but we spent £20 million in the transfer window and all of the players brought in look like poor signings!!

Our scouting system is and has been shocking for the last 4 transfer windows

There’s 0 chance of going up which was the only reason he’s stayed on.

That's daft, of course there is a chance, anyone is capable of going on a run of wins or a few players hitting form at the right time.

Xmas will give us a better idea what our chances are but it's to Late xmas to pack up unless NW and club know who will replace him? Jan window will be most critical for years so need to get things right before it opens.

All depends where we are, got to be honest unless we were right up there I wouldn't be giving Warnock to much to spent the way he has spent the last lot. Maybe some money got loans.

If the contract is up in Nov - then that's the time to make the decision ...( but do have plans in place !! ) ;)

I agree.

Cannot possibly have Sir Neil in charge during January window unless we are top 8 and he says he intends to stay.
Club then needs to decide if his Warnockball style will be retained and if so find a manager to embrace that and ideally work with him for a spell.

Or, decide to change style. How many of existing squad could play any other way is an unknown but we will need to find out.

Because he is this best manager in this league at getting teams promoted.

Some of fans are unbelievable. A lot of people going to look idiotic come the end of the season.

I think a lot of the players have the capabilities to play another way and would probably prefer it, especially the midfield and attacking players. We would need a whole new defence though if the new manager wanted to play out from the back with the exception of Bennett maybe.

We need a new defence to defend against sides that don't play like we do let alone to attempt to play out from the back. We need a new first choice keeper to as Etheridges distribution woeful. Same shortcoming as Marshall which is why they have never been wanted by the top flight. I cant see any of our midfielders, the few that we have, flourishing in a side intent on keeping possession. Strikers and wingers not so sure of as our system has been so far away from that there are no reference points to go on.
