Over 200 Cardiff Fans & Not one Cardiff player

Sat Aug 24, 2019 12:30 pm

Outside Fernhurst Pub by Blackburn’s ground, The Players coach pulled up right outside and was stuck in traffic and was greeted by over 200 City fans chanting and singing to them Bluebirds :thumbright: :bluebird:

Not one player even acknowledged the fans

Many fans were left disgusted by that Attitude

Doesn’t shock me as plenty of modern footballers behave like spoilt brats and have no genuine loyalty to the club
Just interested in what their next car will be with all the ridiculous amount of dosh they earn .. Fans just gullible I’m afraid
... And you wonder why we boo

Not many players have any real link to their club or their fans. Most are just passing through and are only here for three or four years (a lot less sometimes), and will go wherever the most money is at any particular time. Just too much cash in the game now, and us fans are becoming less important each year.

A shit performance and another 3-0 loss.

I’m really surprised by that.
Not saying it didn’t happen but just surprised as I’ve met a few players one to one and they’ve been superb.

Having spent £150 taking me and my boy up to Blackburn the least the players can do is acknowledge the fans that have travelled instead of ignoring us

I personally witnessed it as well, shocking.

We’ve lost two away games on the bounce, I’m sure the players are just trying to stay as focused as possible - no distractions. I feel the same when people get pissed off that someone hasn’t done the ayatollah halfway through a match

To be honest, if I was a City player now and I read some of the comments on this forum this season, I probably wouldn’t bother either. We were all united during our promotion season, the fans, team, players and manager. A couple of poor results this season and already, fans have turned on Warnock and the players. The team could all see you cheering them in the pub, but those players probably think those same fans cheering them will probably be slating them later on if we lose. I don’t think the players are being ignorant, I think they’re just being more cautious with the fans now. Players like Morrison who been through it all under Warnock and have given everything for us, probably feel let down by the fans at the moment.

Jesus wept!

How precious must these modern-day players be then, eh! All it takes is a quick thumbs up to those City fans and then they can go back to finishing their card games ffs..

The fact that these are City fans who are travelling up and down the country, spending their hard-earned cash, suggests to me that those 200 outside that pub STILL believe in this mollycoddled bunch.

I cant begin to imagin the devastation they must feel getting a few boos off some fans who travel up and down the country spending their hard earned money supporting players who earn more in a week than most do in a year.

I hope the Club offered them some sort of counselling to help get them through it.

Cardiff fans have been PHENOMENAL for the past few seasons, to suggest players could feel let down by the fans is probably one of the most ridiculous things iv ever read on here, it should be the other way round if anything!

Poor like there display today, not one player acknowledged us, fans were applauding them

There was well over 200 Cardiff fans behind the pub gates/small barriers, players just looked at us and then looked away

We could see the players clearly even with dimmed windows, saw their faces look straight at us.

Another Tonteg Classic.

So much wrong with this I don’t even know where to begin.

An it’s not the fans turning on players because of a few bad results. It’s never about results if the fans see the players giving 100% effort they will get support no matter what the result.

The performances so far this season haven’t had 100% effort nowhere near.

Straight answer , I was stood with my daughter and could see the players clearly, watched their heads turn due to the applause & singing and not one put their hands up from their tables and so did over 200 Cardiff fans see them.

The windows are not totally blanked out, you could see them all well.

Can't understand fans making excuses for this sort of behaviour. Pig ignorant in my eyes, it doesn't take much effort to acknowledge fans who have forked out their hard earned cash to cheer on these overpaid prima donnas. I don't think the fans expected them to get off their luxury coach and buy a round of drinks. A bit of common courtesy wouldn't go amiss here.

Re: Over 200 Cardiff Fans & Not one Cardiff player

Sat Aug 24, 2019 5:55 pm

Not making excuses - if they have seen and not waved then it’s poor. However I wonder if the players thought they couldn’t be seen due to the tinted windows and therefore didn’t see the need to wave back. I find it hard to believe that they refused to wave back knowing that this kind of response would happen.

I do agree that the attitude of some of our fans after the first 3 games would wind up the players, not sure it would be enough to purposely ignore them though.
