...about automatic promotion.
However after 4 games against poor opposition we look pretty weak and talentless. No real fight, no real desire and certainly no real quality.
Teams like Fulham have kept the nucleus of their PL squad together and have added even more quality to their side, they have identified they can’t afford to stay out of the PL for more than one season, and need to be in the big league with the bigger teams and not scraping around playing second rate teams in second tier football. So they have invested in the future of the club by strengthening and investing in a new young fresh manager playing expansive exciting football.
Where will we finish this season ?
Can we outmuscle the likes of ,,
Fulham
Leeds United
West Bromwich Albion
Derby County
Middlesbrough
Sheffield Wednesday
Nottingham Forest
Bristol City
Brentford
Etc Etc Etc

It's pretty much what I expected and around where this quality of squad would be. We need to get on some run of form, it's not impossible.

Aye, but remember that our promotion was unexpected by everyone, and the club and players were probably not ready for it. How we went up was not the norm and was always unlikely to be repeated so soon.

Bullshit.
We went up and bought championship players so that if we went down we’d be set to go the season after.
Then got relegated lost all our decent players and bought players who don’t look up to scratch. So we are worse now then we were two years ago.
Don’t make excuses

I know it’s confusing, but you’ve just agreed with what I said..

We may have surprised ourselves that we went up, but aren’t we big enough to go up ?
Aren’t we as big as a team like Fulham ? Don’t we thing we should be a PL team as Swansea were for 7 seasons. I thought we are meant to be an averagely large club ? I know there are about 10 bigger clubs than us in the Championship, but haven’t we got ambition, is our owner not financially big enough to mix it with the likes of Leeds Fulham West Brom etc

I did not see us having much chance of finishing top two before the season started. I think we will finish top ten, but I will stick with my original thoughts that to get a top six place will require us to have the rub of the green, and dodgy decisions going in our favour. If I had to choose where we will finish, I think around 9th or 10th is the most likely, but with Warnock's knowledge of this league, he may surprise a few people (me included) just as he did last time.

Not so much the size, but the investment needed wasn’t there.. shame, because with a decent striker we probably would have stayed up.

At the start of the season thought that we would finish about 12th & I have seen nothing to change my mind. Would class us as an average Championship team a long way behind Fulham.
Eggs in 1 basket- wide men but no creativity in the middle of the park. Saying that I have not seen one game where the wide men are feeding Glatzel sufficient service.

I still think we will make the top 6. It's a long season and the winter months will be our opportunity as we dog out enough results to get into the play offs.

Last time we started with 5 straight wins, this time we didn't--Cue the crisis junkies.

Don't forget Swansea City. If they can hold on to their best players they could well be top 6.
Not a particularly pleasing prospect but can't ignore the Jacks!
