I had an emotional wobble after the reading defeat but I should never have doubted sir Neil. Great performance from the guys tonight and i have to say even Bacuna was good. Before you all say that you change your opinion completely depending on result I have always been his biggest fan but I have to admit I doubted him slightly at reading. However responding like that to a defeat shows what we have and I’m sorry for doubting sir Neil and the boys. Come on city!!

It was a better performance but not a great performance. Huddersfield were poor and we should have scored more. What was clear was that Tomlin gives us something. Bacuna and Bennett not doing it for me. They both look dire and of course we can’t bring our other £4m left back in as he’s on loan.
What Neil needs to do in my opinion is stick with same side barring injuries. Not just change for changes sake.

Not getting carried away with that win. Still a lot of flaws to iron out.

Unconvincing

I thought we battled to a good win against a team who had just changed their manager. I felt guilty doubting the great man after our start but feel like with the work ethic today the lads are still playing for him and we’ll be ok this year

Good to see Junior playing just behind Bogle and a fantastic strike from him.
Much more energy, Ralls , Peltier and Bennet were superb.
Tomlin gave a stunning performance, some of his passes were sublime.
We do need to start burying the chances we are creating though, 2 clear cut chances straight after we scored before half time and the game would have been over.
Downside was how easy flint and morrison were beaten and turned.

Neil Warnock heaped praise Lee Tomlin for his gruelling work ethic in pre-season after he returned to the starting line up for the win over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
Warnock, whose hand was forced by the injuries to Marlon Pack and Callum Paterson, handed Tomlin his first appearance since the FA Cup tie against Mansfield back in January 2018.
It was a tough task for Tomlin, but after he toiled away this summer to reach the peak of his fitness, Warnock believes it was just rewards for the hours of graft put in by the Bluebirds' most mercurial talent.
"He deserves a pat on the back because I never thought he would get as fit as he is in his career after looking at the last two years," Warnock said.
"But lets not get carried away, it's the first game back and he'll be tired after tonight but it'll give him a massive lift and he deserves that."
Tomlin's presence was felt immediately. He put others in space with his passing and created openings of his own with his neat feet to create a handful of good chances for the Bluebirds in the first half.
