Well he must be able to sink a few beers because he definitely won’t be that good at football.

2m is far too much we paid oxford.potential but nothing that jumps out he will go far...lightweight not fast...can see him being loaned out

Very poor, lacks body strength and loses the ball far too easy.

He needs time at this level to adapt.
He has the potential and I'm glad to see Warnock sticking with him for the two home games.
Defensively, he offers far more than Murphy.
Do believe he will come good but we have to be patient.

Agree doesnt look ready but he pretty much tried all game, see potential but doesnt look ready

Enjoyed watching him play, he was nieve at times and made wrong choices but never stopped trying to beat his man and some of his tracking back was great, happy to have him here at our club and hope he developes into a special player, thats my view anyway and I hope he gets a bit more support than he is getting on this thread.

Looks like a league 1 player so far, I lost track of how many times he fell over the ball and ran into the floor. I also heard Oxford fans rave about how quick he is, Im yet to see that pace tbh. I will give it to him though when he loses the ball he works his socks off to get the ball back and is defensively better than Murphy anyhow.

He was great. This post baffles me.

I thought the same. I thought he showed some great touches and tracked back well. Thought he did well against Luton too

Thing is though he could be the next Ronaldo and you'd still be moaning.Christ you must be a barrel of laughs to know.

Was'nt this fella playing in the Irish league 18mths ago?If he was the finished article we'd have paid alot more for him.Better than Kadeem at the same age IMO.

People expecting him to be a world beater from day 1. This is a big step up for him and he will need time to adjust give him a break. Etheridge started off poorly and adjusted pretty quickly. I thought he had a good game anyway. Yes he gave the ball away a few times but that’s only because he was trying to get forward. I won’t knock a winger for being direct. He ran himself into the ground and won the ball back quite a few times in our half.
There were guys sitting by me giving him stick for passing it backwards and not attacking them giving him stick for trying to take a man on and losing possession. He couldn’t win.
Warnock has been criticised for not playing youngsters and when he does people want that player dropped. He’s only 23, given a good run of games this season and he’ll improve massively. He’ll either be a 1st team player or be sold for a decent profit. Exactly how we should be developing our younger players.

Some people want instant success from a player then also moan the squad is to old and we need more younger players but refuse to give them a chance.
If we want quality young players your looking at your 15m plus from man City reserves and that still comes with no guarnetee.
I could see his potential but clearly a lot to learn.

Yea I agree his inexperience did show a few times last night but the only way he's going to learn is if he is playing regular first team football. I'm hoping we see a lot more of him this season.

last night i dont quite know what position he was playing, he seemed to be coming inside alot, leaving the wing empty, which was crying for some pace and width, felt he was too easily out muscled and seemed to run out of ideas when he had the ball. i'll give him time, but i would of preferred some real attacking pace out on the right
