MY VIEW: NEIL WARNOCK FOR THE 4TH GAME IN A ROW

MY VIEW / OPINION

NEIL WARNOCK FOR THE 4TH GAME IN A ROW CHANGED HIS STARTING LINE-UP.

THANKS TO A 87TH MIN BY JUNIOR HOILETT GAVE CITY THE 3PTS.

But For me many Cardiff players looked knackered and some unfit.

Not the greatest game by far, but another 3pts for City :bluebird:

First half a much improved performance from Cardiff’s last game away at Reading with Lee Tomlin & Josh Murphy playing well.
City deserved to go in 1-0 but should of scored more :bluebird:

Mark Hudson ex Cardiff City player managed his first ever league game tonig .

CARDIFF CITY 2 HUDDERSFIELD 1 :bluebird: :bluebird:
H/T 1-0

Crowd 21,182
Away Support 320

City: Alex Smithies Lee Peltier Sean Morrison Aden Flint Joe Bennett Joe Ralls
Leandro Bacuna Lee Tomlin Gavin Whyte Josh Murphy Robert Glatzel

Subs: Joe Day Ciaron Brown Curtis Nelson Will Vaulks
Junior Hoilett Omar Bogle Isaac Vassell

42nd min Goal! Cardiff City 1-0 Huddersfield (Ralls)
They opener! The balled dropped in the box and Tomlin went to shoot, but it was nicked away... only into the path of Ralls, who looks up, picked his spot and buriied it beyond Grabara. It was coming and deservedly so :bluebird:

H/T 1-0

50th min Goal! Cardiff 1-1 Huddersfield , Smithies should of done better

87th min winner by substitute Junior Hoilett 2-1 :bluebird:

3pts secured.

F/T 2-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Yes Annis, the same reading who are leading west Bromwich 1-0 away, they were tipped for relegation by some, they have bought well, and could even book a play off place, just my opinion, there are 10 mins left in that game, but it proves a point of the championship being a tough lady if you are not on your game  :old: :bluebird:

Agreed every game is tough and everyone can beat each other.

Big test Blackburn Away .

I didn't think we looked tired to be honest, thought we looked the fitter of the teams.

Thought we did well in long patches. Should have had a couple more and a sloppy goal to give away.

Luke, watched it close up be on tv and many players looked tired.

Rang Carl and he said the same.

Improved performance but not great.

But 3pts :bluebird:

Agree. We were a lot better than Sunday but Huddersfield not biggest threat at this present time.
Hopefully we can at least get some confidence back in camp from it

Murphy showed glimpses of what he can do tonight but I feel he went missing a hell of a lot too, left Bennet outnumbered 3 on 1 at times.

Few dodgy decisions from the linesman and ref tonight but has to be expected, should have been a red card for the high foot on Murphy

A little bit of prospective.

When we went up the first time we had built for 6 good months. Infact we nearly sneaked into the play off when Warnock took over with us rock bottom.

We had a stable sqaud. Zohore was on the purple patch of his life and everything was going in one direction.

Mendez started the season like Ronaldo and we had Hoilett ripping it up on the other side. We started the season with a bang and played our best football during that spell beating Leeds, Villa and Wolves.

This season has a total different feel. When you come down you've really got to add class like Fulham to turn things straight around.

Our spine of our team is all new players with Flint, CMs & Strikers.

I think we're in a transition and you can feel it. Expect inconsistent results all the way to Christmas. You never know with Warnock he may just pull a rabbit out of the hat for the second half of the season.

We look a country mile away from Leeds & Fulham at the mo but it's a long old season!!

Onwardsand upwards eh :ayatollah: I take it one game at a time, too much analysis spoils watching the game for me :? I'm a fan,not a manager  let them do their jobs, and I'll do mine is my motto on football. ;) :old: :bluebird:

Completely agree.

I really can’t see us challenging for automatic promotion. I even think the playoffs are a unlikely given the changes to the team and the psychological impact of relegation.

You’re right that the spine of the team has been lost with Gunnar and Manga leaving and Bamba and Etheridge being injured. You can’t lose key players and it not have an impact on performances. Losing Pack is also a big blow. We needed more quality but we clearly don’t have the budget to do that.

Can’t see us getting anything away from home until we tighten up at the back and are more clinical up front. Expect us to pick up after 10 games or so.

Great to see the 3 pts

Good to see Tomlin in he gave a more aggressive style & seen some good balls from him that we are not used to seeing
Whyte looks pretty decent

Smithies is settling in a bit more tonight made a couple of good saves

There the positives

The negatives are we made such hard work getting the 3 pts

Completely agree we looked tired and lucky to take 3 pts

I still dont think we are good enough to get in the playoffs I can only hope to be proved wrong

We’re better off in this division anyway. Unless we go for a proper assault on the PL, there’s little point in going up.

There are a lot more teams that Leeds and Fulham who we are a country mile away from, including Swansea. I think Fulham will win the league though as their summer recruitment was exceptional for this level. In comparison ours was awful.

IMO Huddersfield are really poor. We will know more after Saturdays game, the players don’t seem to have the same attitude and desire they’ve had the past two years.

Our midfield isn’t really up to it and out defence has no pace.

3 welcome points and, although not brilliant, an improved performance. However, can we please try something other than the tedious long throw from time to time? Too easy to defend, especially with the no 1 target taking the throw!

I noticed that the target now is Flint, he won a majority of the headers but there was nobody on the 2nd ball as it would go behind him or out of the 18yrd box and there was nobody filling the gap to take the chance from the edge of the box

Annis totally agree - Bennett goes forward then just gives up coming back
Puffing like someone on 60 a day :occasion5:

Agreed mate. We get promoted and then prepare for relegation, pointless imo.
