I'll start off with Warnock. I thought that, whichever players he decides to pick, we would still be competitive. In the first game of the season we were poor, and 2 games after that we've performed in my opinion our worst performance since the 4-2 loss to Norwich when Solsjkaer was in charge (we were 2-0 up in that game).
I will go as far to say I think this performance today was worse than that game, and it probably goes further back than that game to find a worse performance. Which is immensely worrying, it's okay to say "it's only 3 games" but this should't be happening. Not with a Warnock side. It's one thing like last week, getting away with a win when we played 'okay' and players were getting used to each other. But today was not a game where you could use that excuse. Half of the team wasn't up for it and that's how it is, nothing to do with playing for or with each other, they didn't even play for themselves.
When we signed Flint, I immediately didn't think it was a good signing, and despite everyone saying he has man of the match etc, I still agree with my original opinion that we shouldn't have signed him.
He may be getting man of the match for winning things in the air etc, but when we look at our team having lost Bruno and having signed players who are a little bit less than impressive on the ball, I thought we definitely needed a ball playing defender to replace Bruno, not another Morrison. I also think Flint makes alot of mistakes and daft decisiosn that have so far gone unpunished and apparently un-noticed by the Cardiff faithful, which whatever, it is what it is, if you lot think he's good then I have no intention of trying to convince you otherwise, I'll just leave the flint thing as an "opinion", which I'm entitled to have.
I thought the signing of Nelson was literally going to be one of those *doesn't play* back back-back ups, instead he's first choice back up at the moment which is worrying. I'm pretty sure even Halford had more quality than him. Definitely a center half, not a Defensive midfielder anyway.
Bacuna had everything to prove this season, having not played much since Janurary but showing some glimpses that he could be trusted to play in midfield. However, today, he wasn't "Awful" at right back, but still not very impressive. When he switched with Nelson and played in the center I thought he was absolutely dreadful, and gave the ball away every chance he could instead of keeping our momentum going to try and grab a goal. Even the game he started against Wigan he wasn't great. I worry he's not up for it with us.
Since I saw Smithies in the cup game last season, he always looked dodgy to me, similar to when we had Ben Amos playing for us. Granted Smithies is probably a little better but he didn't look very reassuring in goal. He's done nothing yet to change my mind either. Saving a penalty does not automatically make someone a good keeper, sorry.
Will Vaulks...I'm so dissapointed with him. I was quite excited when we signed him, had visions of him being a right footed Ralls etc. But every pre season game he played, and even today, he's been shocking. Looking like a bad signing, unfortunately.
If we signed better players than those I just listed, we might have a chance at playoffs, Unfortunately our team has too many inconsistencies in-bedded in and slow/under-performing & very very nontechnical players.
I've come to terms with our team now though, and I'll enjoy the season as though we're back in 2016/17 when Zohore was running riot etc. But I doubt we'll even perform as well as then either. Just take it how it comes really.

Very interesting read. Not quite sure about Flint myself, but Baccuna and Vaulks I totally agree. Thought Baccuna was a poor signing last January, and nothing has changed since. Vaulks I just can’t understand,,,, do we honestly believe we will progress as a club with what he offers as a player? Not sure about Nelson yet, but I thought Smithies was a whipping boy today,,, at least he was having a verbal go,,, all be it when the third goal was scored!

We should have spent the £21 million you said we’d spend with a 12mill striker.
“Watch this space” .... unfortunately, I’m still watching and waiting.
