Really disappointed after Warnock and Dalman saying in their own words “we will have a real go this this season” that after yet another poor transfer window in which we sold our best defender, most creative attacker and our no 1 centre forward, we seem to have replaced them with average players from lower divisions
We start the season with no cover at full back, no creativity in midfield and question marks over all 5 strikers
The fact we didn’t use the loan market at all defies belief and the fact the academy has not produced a first team regular for 12 years makes the “we will have a real go statement “ seem absolute nonsense
Looks like lack of investment is about to bite us in the arse!!

Perhaps all is not well behind the scenes.
Dalman looked to get out by purchasing Charlton.
No sign of VT or Dalman at any games.
Who knows?

We have spent enough in the last 2 years on players we have here to have a team capable of competing.
The issue is the money hasn't been spent well. As much as I love Warnock his transfers over the last 3 transfer windows have been on the main poor and key areas or sorted.

Have to agree look at the signings of Alex Smithies (4m), Greg Cunningham (3m), Leandro Bacuna (4m), Bobby Reid (8m), Lee Tomlin (2m) Josh Murphy (10m), Gary Madine (6m) all for just under 40m. Fair play to Warnock he's also made some astute lower league signings but that's a lot of wasted money.

I'm not saying they are all bad signings but you look at the players who started and on the bench today and it cost quite a bit and that's before you consider those not included today and or out on loan.

Signing average players will bite us in the arse.

Think its clear now that Tan is looking at the Premier League money as repayment time. We must have made at least £25 Million profit last year and this years parachute payment will net him another chunk even allowing for the high wage bill we have. I don't blame him but be honest about it.
If we had used the profit we made last year to reinvest this year we could have signed quality players on loan. Instead we appear to have signed players of a decent standard by League One standards. Enough to keep our head above water.

2 years ago we saw a leaked brochure indicating the club was for sale.
We are told the club are going for it this year, in reality nothing is further from the truth.
Dalman looking to Move on.
I firmly believe Tan will sell up before the parachute payments are finished and this would have already happened if NW had not performed a miracle in 2017.
