Neil Warnock:
"They've splashed the boat out and it'll be a lot more difficult now. Even their manager said that he was surprised they spent £20million last week. (George) Pușcaș was one of the lads we were looking at and I think they paid around £8m for him.
"It's always tough at Reading and I always get a bit of stick, but it's a nice stadium."

Excuses in nice and early then

I don't blame him,too many fans with an overexpectation.

What is he supposed to say we are going to go there and smash them you lot are funny.

This is a classic example of lowering expectations. The fact of the matter is Reading have lost their opening two games and with a goal difference of minus three are bottom of the league.Midweek they needed a penalty shootout to beat Wycombe in the cup.
In fact we could hardly have an easier set of opening fixtures. Wigan who we played in the opening match lost their next two games by an agragate score of 5-0. Luton have only one point. Our next two games are against Huddersfield and Blackburn who are struggling too.We need to take advantage before more difficult games against Fulham and Derby.
You don't really need ten games to judge how a season will go six is usually enough. The top six after six games will be very similar to the top six at the end of the season.True in the past couple of seasons in the championship Norwich and Fulham have come through after poor starts but this tends to be the exception rather than the rule.Already Leeds Fulham and WBA are in the top seven we need to get there quickly.

No why would he say that

Not everything has to go to the extreme. It just makes him sound daft considering the money spent on the players we have.
