Marlon Pack

Thought he was immense today. It felt so reassuring having Pack sitting in front of the defence mopping everything up. He has a good range of passing, a commanding figure with the body strength to hold players off, hold onto the ball, slow the game down and make everything look so simple.

I was sat in row F today, close enough to the pitch to hear Pack calling Morrison aside in the first half and telling him we need to talk more. That's the type of leadership our midfield was lacking at Wigan. I think he will be a very important signing.

We have needed better than Gunner for some time, I hope pack is, a good age and seems a Warnock time player. I hope Ralls has a bid more confidence in him with pack alongside as I think he can offer more going forward.

Hard to judge a player on just 1 game but I thought he looked very good. Good passer, distribution was better than anybody else in midfield for us and controlled the game whilst always picking the right pass. Good start for him

Agree with the OP. His calmness and positioning is excellent. Doesn’t do anything silly or wasteful, and very accurate passing. Warnock knee exactky why he was signing pack and how he would fit into the team.

And unlike Gunnarsson, he can pass the ball.

Really pleased with pack. I wonder if he had played against Wigan we may have won that one? Composed. Generally in the right place at the right time. He didn't shut up all game from what I could see marshaling all the players around him. A shrewd acquisition hopefully. Ralls always looks better when he has someone alongside that can do the dirty work allowing him some freedom
