' 3 Strong debuts '

I was really impressed with Pack, Whyte and Glatzel today.

Pack - good tackler, composed and keeps the shape well. Having him there allows Ralls to have more freedom and you saw his quality for our winner, with his composure spreading the ball wide.

Glatzel - probably should have scored but looks really good with the ball at his feet and is great in the air. Really hard worker too.

Whyte - looks a little naive at times but he is a very hard worker and a good dribbler. I think he is going to be a great player.

Flint looked well too, which is good and our spine really looked a lot stronger today. Lets not forget Vassell as well, with his late winner. He looks a live wire.

Not vintage, but 3 points are 3 points.

We restricted Luton to very limited chances, not much for smithies to do today, a good effort by the team after Luton put 3 past boro last week!

Glatzel looks good seems to know how to direct flick on as well. Shame he didnt get quality balls as he made great runs, whyte had a chance to play him through but didnt which was a shame.

Think Whyte will get better with more games did show some good things also got back and got stuck in.

Pack looks good just moving about at the pack playing simple balls and made the odd late run which didnt get picked up.

Think City will have a real strong spine again this season. I just dont know hown we tried to play when Vaulks came on for Whyte. Seemed to fk our shape up.

Vassell won 2 headers, one set hoilet off past his defender and the other went in the net cant get much better in couple of minutes :p

I might be wrong but wasnt this Smithies league debut aswell ?

Only played 1 or 2 cup games

Flint had a good game but I thought Glatzel was excellent, particularly the first half. Didn’t stop running, head ons, touches, linking up well & his goal bound header was blocked in the second half.

On today’s performance I believe both NML & Hoilett should start before whyte.

Vassell was only on for a short time but obviously scored.

Flint, Pack and Glatzel played really well imo. Thought Whyte struggled to get in the game and looked a bit nervous but im sure he'll improve.

Smithies league debut and I feel the right choice for GK at the moment. All our new players looked well up for it. Wasn't a fantastic performance but with so many new faces and changes, 3 points were massive :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Great news, really hope this striker starts banging in the goals, it will give us another dimension.

Flint was MOM and if he keeps that form up he isn't going anywhere. I heard a comment in the crowd that Whyte was 'off the pace'. I thought that was a good assessment. He showed deft touches and certainly has potential but he hadn't quite adjusted to the pace of the team/Championship.

He will adjust over the next few games and I believe he will grow to be a big player.
