Cardiff City will receive £11.5mill at the end of Bobby Reid’s loan to Fulham.
BOBBY REID:
"I got the train up and got here literally a couple of minutes before the deadline," he told Fulham's club website . "I'm buzzing to be here, now I can sleep properly.”
"I think there was a bit of interest, but I don't think Fulham knew I that I was up for sale until quite late. I got told on Monday that if something happens I can leave. So it was a bit of a rush but thankfully it got done.
"I think it was probably best for both parties. Maybe the style of play Warnock wanted to play didn't suit me and it was probably better for him and for me if we parted company. “
"I've got nothing against him but I'm here and I've wanted to be here for a long time so I'm happy to be here."

So if Fulham get relegated and Reid has an awful season we get 11.5 m. What do we get if he scores 20 and they win the league by 20 points.

A lot of thanks from Fulham fans and saying Cheers Cardiff.

I hope our supporters can now see what sort of person Reid is.
Warnock got a lot of unfair stick about this transfer on Deadline Day.

Definitely sounds like he didn’t want to be hear and also Warnock wanted rid of him. Gutted but if he weren’t happy pointless keeping him.

You are totally correct

The club and Warnock made the right call.

Correct call. Get rid. He would've been a disruption and a huge disappointment if we'd have kept him. Especially as many of us thought he'd have a great year!
Much rather hungry players who want to play for Warnock, the club and especially the fans. And Vassell is making all the right noises, he seems genuinely pleased to have signed.

"Fulham didn't know I was up for sale"
Not quite how Warnock painted it.

Im hoping Reid is a big success at Fulham..
And one day we may get a Manager who likes football.

We can split hairs if we want but at the end of the day the player wanted out and Warnock didn't want him.

Yup, and he was under contract.
If Warnock didn't want him and put him up for sale fine but he's getting to good at spinning our fans.

Which part of all this has Warnock spun? It seems to me that it was a mutual agreement between the player and club to part ways.

So why is he rabbiting on about the agent and how he wanted to build a team around him.
Now it's Warnock didn't want him and put him up for sale.

From what we know Reid went to NW late in the transfer window (probably after his awful performance against Wigan) and said he wanted to go. When a player does that it must disrupt any previous plans. It then seems NW took the pragmatic view (which I support) and let Reid go.
He could have tried the holding the player to his contract but in my opinion we would have had an unhappy player whose form would have plummet whilst costing us a fortune.

That seems to be Warnocks story.

I'm afraid, it's another one of Warnocks mystifying signings, along with Madine and Tomlin. Reid seems to have been treated as a back up player since he's arrived and not, as Warnock has stated "a player he wants to build a team around"! I love what Warnock has done to the club, but he has a limited style of football, which players like Reid do not fit into, so I don't know why he even contemplates signing such players.

I thought he went on loan? do you mean he will sign in January and we get our 11 million then, maybe there wasnt enough time to push through the transfer on thurs?

Indeed, Luke
As I said to BluebirdWhitchurch, it's all smoke and mirrors and both sides will have their slant and both will be slightly away from the reality
Pretty naive to believe otherwise
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=209191Disappointed to see Bobby Reid go; but at £11.5m for a player, that has to be seen as a great piece of business
Worse statement of the day (from Bobby Reid):
"I've wanted to be here (Fulham)for a long time"For the insert (Fulham) replace with
any side prepared to take him and pay him...
Sat Aug 10, 2019 8:36 am
Tomlin has had some stick and clearly let Warnock down in the past.
But compare and contrast the behaviour.
I hope Warnock gives Tomlin another chance because if he is through his bad patch and committed he can be a hell of a player for us
Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:06 am
Come in Lee Tomlin. Your time has arrived. Don't blow it!
Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:08 am
Shows how bad Reid’s attitude must be if the club is prepared to give Tomlin a chance , a player with a history of bad attitude at more than one club.
Of course, Tomlin May yet go out to a League 1 club

Club never decided to give Tomlin a Chance, No one wants Tomlin.
Plus who is going to pay £25,000 a week for player who might do well on League1.

I think the whole thing was engineered by his agent. The gaffer said he had no inkling anything was up until the second phone call. The gaffer strikes me as an honest man who has the clubs interest at heart.
In my view the gaffer doesn't deserve this continued speculation about his motives where as Reid does.I don't understand our fans that want to take Reids version of events over the gaffers.

Great business, he just failed to fit in here.
Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:41 am
So Fulham have got to sign him even he has a terrible loan spell and don't get prometed or get relegated?
Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:44 am
As someone has already highlighted in this thread.
Reids own word "I've wanted to be here for a long time so I'm happy to be here ".
Let's move on and get behind those who are here.
