OK let's not pretend that Warnock hasn't been backed. Has he spent it well will always be up for discussion but he has spent the money.
I don't understand the logic in sending 14m of players out on loan without getting a loan in return.
Reported.
Smithies 4m
Flint 4-6m
Cunningham 4m
Bacuna 4m
Vaulks 3m
Reid 10m
Murphy 12m
Tomlin 2m
Whyte 4m
Gelzel 4-6m
Ward 2m
Bogle 1m
Vassell?
Pack
What we looking at nearly 50m spent? Obviously not all those fees would be paid in once but neither would any other transfer or sale.
Now its over to Warnock to push us to promotion. He knows this league and what it takes to get out of it, I assume with the money spent he has what it needs.
Let's get behind the team and see where it takes us.

Warnock knows how to get good frees and loans but when it comes to spending money it's a no for me

Well put mate.Whatever you think of the clubs transfer policy now is the time to leave all that behind and get behind the boys.
Call me a misguided optimist but I think all the signings will come good.

Not sure you can class Reid as a waste of money.
He did nothing but that will inevitably cost use nothing in a fee.

Agreed, I've not seen anything official but if reported we get the fee at the end I wouldn't include it.
Still a lot or money to build a championship team.

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that Whyte isn’t gunna cost no more than 2.5mill
May be wrong though
I agree, he’s been backed but the majority of the money he has spent hasn’t been a success. I said at the beginning of preseason. Don’t give him a transfer budget, give him a higher wage budget. He’s better with his free agents

I can see why at first sight Smithies is considered a waste of £4m but originally wasn't he bought as cover for Etheridge when he was due to play in the Asian Cup? Also we needed a decent keeper in case of injury.
For some reason NE didn't go to the Asian Cup and didn't get injured so Smithies wasn't required. However, say NE had gone to the Asian Cup for 2/3 weeks or was long term injured and we hadn't signed Smithies as cover, then this and other CCFC MB's would have gone into meltdown claiming the club hadn't signed a decent back up goalkeeper.
Therefore we paid a £4m insurance fee to cover the GK position and will hopefully either get that fee back or we will now need Smithies as NE is now injured.

He’s been shocking with our transfer budget. There’s no other way to look at it.
Given he spent nearly £20m on Reid, Cunningham and Smithies, saying they were good signings for if we went down, etc., then has proceeded to not only barely use them last season, but then pretty much shift them all on this year, is damning. That was a £20m striker we could’ve signed last year, that likely would’ve kept us up, if we’re honest. Shit, combine that with the Sala £18m (which we obviously could not have known how that situation was going to play out), and we had £38m available that could have gone on one great striker last summer, rather than squad players who barely got a look in the entire season.
He wasted our PL summer transfer window, basically, claiming he had no money for a big quality striker, when in fact he absolutely did, but wasted it on players he would ultimately either not use, or not use in their correct positions, etc.
Kills me. We could’ve very likely been kicking off our PL season today, if Warnock hadn’t wasted our bloody pot of money.
On the plus side, he’s done great with free transfers. If he filled our squad with freebies, though, our fans would be rioting over the summer break haha
