Goalkeepers - Etheridge, Smithies, Day
Defenders - Morrison, Flint, Bamba, Bennett, Peltier, Nelson, Connolly, Richards, Coxe
Midfielders - Pack, Ralls, Vaulks, Bacuna, Paterson, Tomlin, Damour
Wingers - Murphy, Mendez-Laing, Hoilett, Whyte
Strikers - Glatzel, Vassell, Ward, Bogle, Madine
Looks like a squad capable of challenging to me. Plenty of strength in depth and versatility to cover several positions.
It's disappointing to lose Reid, but he was never going to play his best football with us. I'm confident we have good enough attacking options to score goals and I think Vassell will become a huge fan favourite. He will be a refreshing contrast to Zohore, he will work the defenders, chase lost causes and frighten defenders with his pace. He will become a real handful with his pace, power and work rate.
A 6'2 Pack sitting in front of a 6'4 Morrison and a 6'6 Flint gives us a very solid base to work with. We aren't going to be the soft touch we were at Wigan, that's for sure!

Ralls is a liability, and open himself up to a red card every game. These are issues that are real, and could have been sorted out over the Summer.
I hope the new players prove me wrong, but NW has failed to get the best out of half of his new signings thus far.

Two of those three players started at Wigan so why were we a soft touch there?

plenty of fancied teams are often a soft touch in the very early games of a season. All the sides relegated from the PL lost, but that does not mean they will finish below the sides they lost to. We always see some strange results in all the divisions during the first couple of weeks of a season.
