Tomlin Time!

Thu Aug 08, 2019 7:01 pm

Bobby reid hasent impressed me much since signing anyways so no moans or groans from me.

I just really hope that neils plan and thinking behind letting bobby move on is that he can now have tomlin as his main man in that role. Tomlin is looking fit and deserves a chance. Far more creative player than reid and that is what we are crying out for, the rest of the team like glatzel, whyte, NML, and murphy would benefit from tomlins creativity far more than bobby reid..
The closest thing neil warnock gonna get to a camarassa or adel taarabt.

Lets hope he now gets his chance to shine..

Selling Reid tells me that we wont be playing a 4-2-3-1. I reckon we're gonna go back to the 4-3-3 with a midfield trio of Marlon Pack holding with Joe Ralls and Bacuna in front of them. Paterson will be on the bench unless we're chasing a game. Tomlin wont make the bench imo.

Yes makes sense, he didn't like Saturday and will protect the new Centre half partnership and keeper for a while!

Unfortunately looks like as he’s not moved on today he’s destined for another loan in league one - which would only be a waste of everyone’s time. Would love to see him get a chance

Can see him going out on loan soon. I'll be shocked if he's in the squad on Sat.

Yes you could be right but for me bacuna is shocking. No creativity in that midfield trio thats why tomlin should play there, just needs to prove to the gaffer hes hungry and wants it

I’d prefer to see 10 minutes of Tomlin than 90 of Bacuna and Ralls.
I’d also like to see Vaulks play; why didn’t he play at Wigan?

I’d love to see it. Shame that Warnock doesn’t trust him.

He’s the only creative player we’ve got left.. but if Warnock thinks he’s not right for the first team you have to back him.

My worry is that he’s brought Vaulks in, and he’s not impressed in training. Warnock might have assessed the lad and thought he’s only worthy of the bench for now.

Cant see it either to be honest. I think he will pack the midfield because he cant have anyone running at our back 4 with their serious lack of pace.

I feel loaning Reid out is more about a 10 not fitting in with Warnocks tactics and not that he has a big plan for Tomlin.

It's going to be long ball and set peices this year, plain and simple.

Packing our midfield and not playing on the front foot is the only tactic that’s served up any success unfortunately. Look how many games we’ve had the chance to win, or been solid favourites, or had the better squad... we’ve been awful. We don’t know what to do with the ball when we have it, and I’m worried it’ll be much of the same this year :(

You do all realise we are only one game in yeah? We all know how Warnock sets up the way he knows best,if you believe he's about to change tact,it could be a long season for you ;) Don't get me wrong,I would love it if he did,but unless he wants to bow out in style, utilising 2 up front at home, that would be lovely, but in my heart,I've known since before he arrived, that the football wouldn't be pretty,it's his m.o,the meltdown on here, borders on hysteria :laughing5: only 135 pts left to play for,we're doomed I tell you, doomed :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :old: :bluebird:

Dont mind the 433 as long as we use the pace of our wingers and at least one MC gets forward
