I must say I'm a little shocked by the melt down by some fans on here. We've still got a strong squad and will make a go of it. Neil Warnock knows what he's doing, his record speaks for itself. After Saturday, there'll be a lot of humble pie being eaten. Warnock creates team spirit which counts for more than just quality on paper.

Quite right. Not a popular view on here, but quite right.

All teams will be having a go. From what I've seen of Derby, Leeds, WBA and Huddersfield, I'm shocked, mainly at how far behind them we are.

Think back to Wolves, Fulham, Brentford, Sheff Wed, and even Millwall at home in this Div.. we were totally outplayed.

Wow cool your beans ...
Have and will always support the club , nothing wrong in expressing an opinion it is a forum after all .
My opinion if you want it is similar to cityones ...we have no right full back cover etc read his post it’s quite on the level .

No way is the squad as good as last year ...but it is what it is ...

In the famous words of the inspiral carpets ..............no one ever said it was going to be easy .

The board has gone toxic after one game, and some fans losing they're balls so early into a season  a few new trolls too I notice  let's hope they concentrate on supporting the bluebirds, with the intensity as they put into the posts they fling around :( in 50+ years of being addicted to the bluebirds, can't say I've experienced some of the nutty comments I've read on here, are we going to have to set up a "positive posts"only thread so early :laughing5: :old: :bluebird:

Getting sick of our fan base if I'm honest.

Need to remember who we are. We're not this huge club that people make us out to be.

Personally I'd have more faith in a manager who has more EFL promotions than any other manager, than a set of supporters.

I'm happy with our summer business.

Re: Cardiff fans

Just remember that anyone who has played parks football or championship manager on their computer think they know much more about football than the professionals in the game but I bet they won’t hand back their season ticket in disgust.

Cmon guys let's give the team a chance before you put them down, who thought we would have got promoted not me but we did, look at the money Fulham spent and still got relegated as for Reid yea he was good but one man don't make a team, give Warnock a chance he's more experienced than us, i take it all the moaners will be down the ground Saturday(season ticket holders)

Re: Cardiff fans

Fri Aug 09, 2019 5:43 am

Now that the window has shut all the crisis junkies will fade away until the next one.Bobby Reid wanted to go and when a player doesn't want to be here thats it.He knew full well our style of play when he came as well as the footballing philosophy of the manager.Give me 11 players fighting for the cause any day.

But, but, Bobby Reid was our best player they cry lol

Re: Cardiff fans

Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:51 am

I have seen all the messages and I normally 100% support Warnock in anything he does but I am concerned not over excited about the signings and concerned that Reid and Bruno has gone I thought Zohore was good business if he went on a free
I wouldnt have been shocked.

Gunnerson went too but no point in keeping players who want to leave Bruno and Gunnerson were good servants to the club.

I was hoping we would get some money for Madine but why buy him with the form he has shown.

But I will be there supporting these players and hope they shock us all , this Vessel has great pace what I have seen so who
knows we have to see but as a club we are Cardiff city we need to be together the team is so now the 12th man has to be
strong

That's just an opinion, people are allow other opinions.

I think Warnock is a very good manager and if we can get top 6 it will be because of him.

But then he has spent a lot of money and imo with the money spent we should be pushing for top 6.

I think his weakness is the transfer market, I think the squad looks very unbalanced. I think it should be stronger with what he has spent.

Re: Cardiff fans

You're always going to get an over reaction from some but I think in main, most people are like myself.

Disappointed that the club have promised one thing and done the opposite.

I'll still be there supporting anyone in a CCFC shirt it's just we were told that this season would be a building year.

We would keep our best players and add a few gems:

1. have a really good go at promotion

2. if we did go up we would be in a much better position than when we went up last time.

I felt a real optimism going into this because I stupidly believed in the clubs plan.

If you look at Leeds, WBA & Fulham they have shown the ambition I'd have expected from us.

The other issues is, I can't get my head around loaning a proven Top quality championship player to our apparent rivals.

We may have just given them 20-30 points.

Just don't get it!!

Re: Cardiff fans

Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:31 am

Think it’s natural to feel a little underwhelmed - I like many others had expected us to get a better quality of player in than we have. Couple that with losing some big players it’s caused a bit of panic amongst the fans but that will die down if we get a few results.

Totally agree, a stronger squad on paper, Warnock definitely went for more players but we couldn't get some players for one reason or another, but we should be positive, that is one big strong Warnock squad the whole league are going to dread having to face us!

Re: Cardiff fans

C,'mon folks, Bruno went for personal reasons, Gunners went to end his career with a payday, Cunningham gone to play football,Ried knew how we played but still came here for the PL, the money and as a stepping stone hoping one of the big boys noticed him, honestly don't think he will be missed as Patterson and Tomlin ??? can slot in there, Up front we have the German and also Bogle who looks like a new signing along with Vassell, still think we needed another midfielder but Pack can do the job as we saw when he bossed us last time out.

Opinions allowed but cut out the abuse and get behind the team

Re: Cardiff fans

Agreed we are not a big club. But I think its incredible that we can attract 30000 on the back of a history which in my opinion is poor .only 17 seasons in the top division. One major trophy 93 years ago.compare that history to any other club with a similar fan base.

Re: Cardiff fans

In the build up to the 2017/18 NW had a famous dinner with VT, KC and MD at Dalman's home in London. Apparently NW asked for a £6m transfer budget which he believed was enough to get us promoted the following season.

The Board gave him his cash and NW delivered promotion.

Whatever is going on with our transfer activity I still have faith that NW will somehow deliver the goods by literally thinking outside the box ;)

Confused here, can we get anyone in now like free agents or is that it until January?

We can sign any free agent at any time but we can't register them to play until January. Therefore it makes no financial sense to sign a free agent until then.
