Totally Underwhelming

Sat here on deadline day and for once I am totally deflated with the window. We lost a quality midfield and so far, with hours left, we have failed to replace the quality that we lost - not quantity. I truly believe that we may struggle this season against the stronger sides in the division. I know that we are on a budget but this window has showed a complete lack of desire to get back to the premier league.

So I will have to be content with what we have unless there some belting transfer in the last few hours, and pray that NW can work miracles again , however this will be an even bigger achievement than keeping us in the PL last year which he did not do.

This is not just about BR it’s about the want of a decent striker(which ultimately cost us last year) and 3 strong midfielders.

The board and NW will have to take responsibility for lack of investment and signings.

I was really hoping that we would make an effort to keep our quality and add to it.
All the rhetoric from the club “ we are going for it” is what it is ..... bullshit and flannel and is from the P Risdale school of spin. I still believe we will more than we lose but but IMO I don’t think we can compete with other bigger clubs e.g Leeds, WBA, Derby - even the Wurzles have done better than us and will result in mid table. The jerks may even do better than us. We may have 18k season ticket holders but I suspect that we won’t get anywhere near that next season. I personally felt that following the rebrand and fiasco that was NW brought the club back together again and despite being relegated last year I believed the future was very bright and we’d have a real good go this year. However after another miserable transfer window I feel we are going backwards. I hate being so negative about my one and only club but that’s how I see it.

I hope Warnock hasn't undone all his good work. I don't see much in this squad other than a few decent Wingers.
