According to reputable journalist Alan Nixon, Cardiff City attacker Bobby Reid could be set to re-join former club Bristol City before this afternoon’s transfer deadline.
The 26-year-old came through the ranks at Ashton Gate, establishing himself as one of the Robins’ most influential players before departing for Cardiff last summer.
The versatile attacker, able to play as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, scored 21 goals for Lee Johnson’s side in the 2017/18 campaign, making a total of just under 160 appearances for his boyhood club.
His move to arch rivals Cardiff City certainly divided opinions last summer, but after finding the net just five times in 30 games for the Bluebirds last season, the attacker could now be set to depart the Welsh club.

Bristol sources claim Reid, 26, still spends much of his time in his home city, having grown up there and still having many friends and family there, which makes it more likely he is open to a return.
But with Neil Warnock earmarking Reid as his first choice to play in behind the striker, the talented forward's departure would be a huge blow to Cardiff .

His staying at Cardiff wouldn't affect his chances of regularly still seeing his friends and family in Bristol.

They make out like Bristol is hours away from Cardiff. It’s 25/30 mins.
