Just thinking out loud but if it does turn out to be someone like bamba or a younger manager, as long as we are safe this season, tan could invest money saved this transfer window on a good push for promotion with a new manager, I don't know just think we will be rebuilding for a while.

We were up to our eyeballs in debt, facing being docked points for unpaid bills, as well as being dragged through the courts by the taxman. Nearly everybody was delighted that we had someone from the other side of the world prepared to pump money into a club he had no links to whatsoever. He has stuck to his word, our debts are being reduced, we are in a better position now than we have been for almost as far back as I can remember, and he is listening to the fans. He changed us back to blue, and when many fans were saying that Warnock was the man for our club, he went out and got him. He is a businessman who had a long term plan rather than the short term boom or bust vision that a lot of foreign owners have. I bet there are plenty of fans of other clubs out there who would swap their owners for ours.

Totally agree, I love the championship and I'm fine if it takes a few years to get back up. The main priority is being debt free, get the training ground done and getting the right new manager for the future

Afraid a lot of football fans have no idea how a big business operates, and most, understandably enough, are not interested in two, five or ten years from now. They want instant success, but the problem is going about it with head in the sand can end up with the club back where it was before Tan arrived. There are plenty on here who will remember the bad days when any sort of point was a bonus, and most badly run clubs end up back there in the end. The majority of the big clubs at the top got there by having a long term vision, and succession planning. Liverpool were where we are now, and there are fans on this forum who will remember that time, and how they got to where they are now. They did things correctly, and Fulham the complete opposite.
