Just read the criteria for reading away providing there’s any tickets left I cant applie untill Monday first batch of tickets out are for season ticket holders who went to Wigan:then on Friday flex5 members and members who went to Wigan got untill Monday to get there tickets remaining tickets for st holders flex5 members and club members can applie on monday I cant believe they are doing it this way I only missed Wigan because I at to attend a course because of my job I’ve already paid for my trip with dibs but if there’s no tickets left may have to pull out loyalty works both ways like a lot of fans I’ve always paid my money up front when asked for it for my season ticket I wonder some times is it worth bothering going away when they do things like this flex5 get priority over a season ticket holder who paid there money up front five months ago

I missed Wigan due to holiday but as a St holder with 10 aways last season I thought at worst I would be in the 2nd tranche. Given that many people have to holiday when schools are off there are probably others in the same situation

There probably are plenty in same situation? but if use last seasons criteria same thing for others as average away last season must be 3k+ the problem is it is easiest game to go to after swans Bristol and it's a Sunday best day for every supporter to go to it....so always going to be a problem with tickets., but does have point about flexi 5 getting priority:old:

In the past we have taken four thousands fans to reading even for a midweek game there

I totally sympathise with you. I went to Wigan so I am ok and I don't have a personal axe to grind. Last year they did it quite well. But to base it on one game only is crazy, particularly when that game was at a time when many would be on holiday. Your only consolation is that in the past Reading have allowed us up to 4,000. And don't get me started on to the £1 booking fee that they are charging everyone even if you go down to the office to buy it.

Last time we went to Reading you could pay on the gate for the midweek fixture but it was £5 more if I remember correctly?

What worries me is it going to be like this all season I do quiet a few Aways through the season I admit I don’t go away every week but still do my fair share of away trips it’s getting know that you can’t follow the club you love because there’s always a problem getting tickets because they put obstacles in you’re way if it like this all season I might just not bother anymore going away just stick to the home games

Fear not, the vast majority of away games will not be a sell out this year......Wigan wasn't and most won't be.
One or two will such, as the JB's and probably Bristol, the rest I wouldn't lose too much sleep over if you fancy going.

What I will say about the criteria is on first glance I thought it was weird, even though it doesn't prohibit me, I was surprised it didn't take last season into account. But then I spoke to my Bro who didn't go to Wigan and he thought it was fair! Still undecided about the criteria but I guess there is differenting opinions.

Reason for the allocation criteria is that reading have reduced away support to 2200 instead of 4k and only informed city last 48hrs so unable to use normal criteria! Previous criteria will be used in future games where applicable.

Given that all the info needed to work out criteria is computerised it should be easy to work. Not happy that a flex ticket holder has better chance than a season ticket holder based on 1 game

May be computerised but still needs human input and don't forget game in 3 days so why not give club benefit of doubt and except it was not possible to sort out criteria intime? Yes simple solution was to say 5 games from last season but then which games? It's not as simple as you make it

Quite frankly Al that is a slight on Reading, they knew this game was changed long ago so why did it take them soooooo long to report back to our club. Reading are a shambles.....fact.

Agree there it is their fault not ours ! just pointing out the circumstances of why criteria is not the normal one? The other question is why have they put home fans in with away ones? Cant be because they've no room for their own fans elsewhere in ground dont get that many!

I know people who only went to aways last season for the premier league experience, not ideal but maybe could’ve used 2017/18 championship away days as a marker too

I was away for the Wigan game and did 13 always last season so I will be piased off if I can't go to Reading.
