With Gratzel and Patterson to come back into the attack, maybe both playing this weekend. It's the lack of creativity in the middle of the park that worries me, all the players we have that play in the middle are much of a muchness there is no-one who stands out as being someone who can change the game.
As I've said before another position that worries me is the lack of pace in the centre of defence. On Saturday Morrison and Flint started well when Wigan were hitting a few long balls in the air but as soon as they started playing the ball on the ground and running at them both you could see the game starting to change. We need a centre half with pace to play along side one of the other 3 centre defenders.
I'm looking at all of the players that we have signed so far and all the players we are linked with and none of them get me thinking YES this player is going to make a difference.
We all know this is Warnocks last season in football management and may be the money people are thinking should we really give him money to sign the quality players that we need. I know Niel has said that he could strengthen the squad in Jan if we are in the chase for promotion but he's also said if we weren't he could walk away. Is this holding us back?
So are we building a squad for a promotion push or just to stay in the league?

Of course we are going for promotion. Saturday was disappointing but we were doing well until Etheridge went off injured. It is one loss in a long season and we are no where near crisis point.
The team have had a big kick up the backside and now we need a reaction on Saturday.
