£2m net spend.

Tue Aug 06, 2019 6:40 pm

aside from Glatzel who we haven’t seen and Flint who’s only in because Bamba’s injured, none of the players have gone straight into the first team. It’s baffling that we can come down with all that Premier League money and be in this position with 2 days left of the window, why on earth does Neil care about not spending money when Tan says it’s available.

gut feeling tells me this is about his ego and wants to be seen as promoting us on a shoestring budget again

Last time I checked we were still in massive debt. So that premier league money will and should go toward paying that aswell as finding another push without going further into debt.

Sometimes I wonder if Warnock doesn't want to spend just so he can say "Look at how much that team has spent" or "We're doing really well to be where we are considering the amount the teams around have spent". Don't really think we can play the underdog role this season regardless of how much we've spent. Will be different this season as the majority of us will expect top 6 as a guarantee so will be interesting to see how Warnock and the players cope with it.

Not sure if NW is bothered as hes says if not looking like promotion at xmas he will be expected to leave as this is the only reason for doing this season.. :old:

So if he wants to win his 9th promotion, that makes him bothered!

Perhaps any major budget is being kept for our next manager ?

Tend to agree, he said himself he didn't spent 10m of his summer budget last year.

NW hates big time Charlie’s

Big fee paid —-> big wages demanded —-> big time Charlie’s.

He wants to be properly in charge and not a baby sitter when kids who are paid too much go running to the chairman. I like his stance and, as others have said, it helps our club become financially stable - something we haven’t had for decades

We are in debt.. have you forgotten how close we were to going bust.?
If we have to tread water for a while so be it.. just enjoy supporting your local team.

Maybe he only wants to work with lower league players who feel that playing for Cardiff and Neil Warnock is a step up from their current team?

Perhaps he doesn't want to work with more established or successful players who may challenge him on his approach or who he cannot mould into his way of playing?

Can't argue with the idea of helping the club being financially stable but it's the usual nonsense that gets trotted out about being serious about giving it a right go for promotion when all their moves in the transfer window would tend to suggest otherwise.
