Cardiff City and Bristol City fighting it out for Arsenal wonderkid - reports

The 20-year-old could be the next man through the doors at the Cardiff City Stadium

The 20-year-old could be the next man through the doors at the Cardiff City Stadium

Cardiff City and Bristol City are battling it out for Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah, according to reports.

The 20-year-old had been widely expected to leave the Emirates this summer to continue his development, but it would appear that the Gunners have yet to make a final decision on his future.

According to reports, the club are split on what to do with Nketiah, with some wanting him to stay and others wanting to send him out on loan.

And if he does depart on loan, Bristol City are reportedly at the front of the queue.

But the Bluebirds have also been linked, with the club keen on bringing in a second striker.

Cardiff have been linked with a mystery £2m man from abroad, but it remains to be seen whether that one will go through.

However, Neil Warnock has gone to great lengths to mention loan deals from the Premier League in recent press conferences.

"I've had enquiries for certain players, and certain players may move," he said after the defeat to Wigan on Saturday.

"We've enquired about certain players. There might be a possibility of a late loan from the Premier League if they don't get the move they want."

If the club do move for Nketiah, it would likely be because a permanent deal for their initial target is off the table.

Swansea City are also interested in Arsenal wonderkid Eddie Nketiah.

The Gunners starlet, aged 20, is reportedly being tracked by a plethora of clubs, including Bristol City, Cardiff City and teams on the continent.

Boss Unai Emery is considering what to do with the striker, who has eight Premier League appearances to his name.

He also featured for the Londoners in the Europa League last season, but the arrival of Nicolas Pepe for a club-record £72 million fee has pushed him down the pecking order at the Emirates, despite the exit of Danny Welbeck. Arsenal already have star men Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette at their disposal.

Swansea are interested in taking him on loan for the 2019-20 Championship season, but competition for his services will be stiff.

Nketiah spoke during Arsenal's pre-season tour about wanting to prove himself under Emery this term.

Leeds in for Nketiah

Looks like Leeds have entered the race for Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah.

Cardiff were linked yesterday, but we understand there is no interest in the 20-year-old
