If this is confirmed then it shows how far behind our main rivals we are in strengthening our side. Fulham have now made at least two quality loan signings. Lets hope Warnock pulls a couple of rabbits out of the hat this week.

Needs to be a big f..k off rabbit, everybody can see its quality you need and it costs but we seem so reluctent to splash out, be it transfer or higher wage payments our top so far is flint at 6 mill same as madine, i thought that's what the parachute payments where for not to bank them.

Surely he was on our radar after his success last year

It will come out this week we were waiting for him to make a decision and expected him to sign but he chose fulham and we didnt have time to sign anyone else.

mantra go with what we got
be very suprised if we bring in anyone more than just a squad number, frustrating.

Was always likely to favour Fulham with parker being his brother in law

He was always going to Fulham unless a club bought him? we were 2nd choice why do you think we havent gone for him this was known when transfer window opened ...

Payments are not for buying players its there to balance books between championship and premier league wages. Its so that clubs don't get into financial predicament due to relegation.

How do you know we have not gone for him ? He was available apparently for around £5mill according to reports

That's a bargain especially when you think we've paid £3mill for Vaulks

We've missed a big opportunity because he would make the difference of us having a average midfield to having a great one.

My guess is that we were always 3rd choice for him. I assume he waited this long probably hoping a prem team would come in for him but if no one from the prem wanted him he'd go to Fulham. Good luck to him but f*ck Fulham. We really need a player of his quality in midfield desperately.

Do all the doom merchants know that we haven't tried to get him?

FFS the way some carry on about him you'd swear he was CR7 :laughing6:

Again you dont know that

Hes not a world class player but he is a very good premier league player who was available, affordable and would make a massive difference to our side in a position we are looking for.
Our club would be stupid to not be in for him he should have been the #1 target before vaulks

Being available and wanting to come here are two different things .. why do you think we didn't enquire about him coming here? And whilst we may need holding midfielder not sure he's exactly what we need? A more calming approach is what we need not a rush around at 100 mph player. :old:

I don’t know what the fuss is about. He was just a slightly better Bryson, he just ran around fouling anything he could catch.

I’m quite happy he’s gone elsewhere. The lack of respect he had for us the last game of the season when he was still our player was twatish, f**k him.

Monty, I agree that we need a big player to come in and not another squad type player but with regards to budgets etc you know nothing.
You don’t know how the club is run so leave that to the experts mate.

Not sure why some fans still think every player is desperate to play for Cardiff. I would guess most young men with a few bob in their pockets are more likely to want to live in or close to London before Cardiff. As far as parachure payments are concerned, they are not designed to give clubs an unfair advantage by being able to go out and spend a fortune on players. They are to help with the huge loss of income, and paying players who have signed PL wages contracts.

On a more serious note, I thought he was there on a season long loan. How do we know that he was'nt approached by a few clubs, including us, before deciding where to go.

Will come to bite them one day? They are living today hoping for promotion every season , same as other clubs and they are cost cutting now to keep within ffp.. we are avoiding such things at expense of quality players unfortunately! The problem could come next season if as planned NW goes can another manager turn average players into promotion material?

Not sure why everyone believes that all players want to play In london.
It's a shithole and they can get the same money elsewhere with better clubs and nicer places to live

They really need to hope they go up with the wages those players are on or as you say they could end up in big big trouble

I think three of their signings including Arter are only there on loan.

Maybe loans but depending on wages they have to pay it all contributes to balance sheet at end of year And once there cannot take off to comply to ffp later? Also at end season they either need to replace or buy them? did that last season and waisted 60m odd as were relegated before us .

i know i am not an expert but there are a lot on the forum like me who have an opinion whether they expert or not, surely we are all allowed to make a statment without been ticked off by so called experts that we do not qualify to make a statment on this forum because we are not qualified to do so.

You misunderstand. I’m with you about signing a marquee type centre midfield player that can go straight in and run things.
With regards to budgets, balancing the books, salaries, FFP and the debt management I’m saying you don’t know how much we will spend anymore than I do.
Your opinion on players, like mine or anybody else’s is fine.
