Agreed, and not making an excuse here. We were shocking second half and fully deserved to lose but the Ref truly was shocking all game and clearly in Wigan’s favour

Come on it's a long hard season. We usually get the results we deserve & that performance today was bottom half championship at best

And I fully agree, I said we deserved to lose and Wigan definitely deserved the win. Just can’t help getting annoyed by the inconsistency with officiating

That's a hard watch. Great finishes for 2 of their goals. But all easily prevented prior to the shot.
First game. Hoping we were just caught cold!! And this is a nice early kick up the arse! Roll on next week.

Unbeaten in pre-season, but as soon as it counts same old City

Game was lost before before it started. Warnock's 4231 formation was never going to work with Ralls and Bacuna too weak and yards and yards of space infront of Peltier and Bennett which Wigan's wingers exploited at will. Madine was ineffective and there was little threat until Bogle came on.

Why do our fans say they deserved to win when their manager thinks otherwise? We had opportunities to put game to bed before halftime and probably should have got couple 2nd half? Take out the mistakes and result would been different tharts for sure

Not sure that the keeper is blameless for any of the goals is he not there to make saves. Good finishing for all three but I suspect a better keeper would have saved at least one of them. Got to be Smithies for me on the evidence of that.

So your mot sure if that's the case why are you saying a better keeper would have save at least one of them which one? 1st deflected freekick gave him no chance to re adjust feet for follow up! and 2nd one due to Morrison being to far from windass and allowing him to hit it early before day could set himself up!
and 3rd definitely not that one not even Etheridge would save it. Yes criticise a player by all means but need to be positive he was at fault.. now can definitely say Morrison was at fault for 2nd because nearly everyone one else believes he was

Crazy to think Day had any chance with Wigans goals, where were the defence , shocking defending and midfield were chasing shadows.

Reminds me of the type of goals we conceded last season. Saw Morrison get beaten like that a lot, particularly first half of the season. I don’t think it’s even a matter of him not having enough pace. Just looks like he’s not up to the speed of the game mentally.
