What we learned today...

Sat Aug 03, 2019 4:05 pm

We don't need a new midfield because the ball will just bypass them as it sails overhead.

Two centre halves are too slow as a pair. Peltier is not the fastest.

Long throws don't work.

Murphy was poor, did nothing.

Reid was non existent apart from the miss and the cross to Bogle.

Bogle offers more than Madine.

Warnock failed to adjust the midfield set up when we were losing the battle. Should've subbed Reid and put Voulks in there with the other two.

It is SO BLOODY frustrating that we don't try to play football more, we look good when we do - Bogle goal, but Warnock won't change.

Oh and the commentator on CityTV live video stream is awful!

"Long throws dont work" wasnt that your strategy everytime the ball went out for a throw for the last 7 years. Get the icelander to lump it in the box.

Not my strategy.

How many goals have come from throws...

Missing Manga’s pace and skill on the Ball. Three out of our back four are snails. Midfield is missing.

TBF long throws from Vaulks May work as unlike Gunner and other who do them for us he is actually good at them. Get much better distance and the ball travels faster rather than just slowly looping into the box.

I’m looking forward to next week but I am also hoping that we manage to bring in another CM before the window closes. Madine, Murphy and Bacuna out and Vaulks, Hoilett and Glatzel in with Patterson back on the bench. Onwards and upwards we go :ayatollah:
