superb effort this window by club

Talent spotting is a lost art in football nowadays. Nice to see Warnock casting the net to Germany.

It's a shame we couldn't make Warnock 10 years younger because he is a joy to behold. We are a match made in heaven.

Love Warnock
Hopefully, this team can strin
A few passes together,
Keep the ball, and let the opposition
Do all the chasing.

If our centre mid and full backs can
Allow our wingers to play
Then, it could be a joy to watch.

I'm not saying I enjoy is brand of football but I just enjoy how he goes about his job. He just connects with so many people and football will be poorer when people like him leave the game. LEGEND!!!!!

i think he gets pidgeon-holed with his brand of football to be honest.

Yeah, its not exactly free-flowing, but i enjoy the majority of matches i go to.

I think its one of the best transfer windows we’ve had in a long time. Filling key positions in the starting 11 as well as significantly strengthening the squad overall. Hopefully see a few more come in as well before window shuts. Can’t wait for the season to start now

Strange, we had fans on this forum just a few days ago moaning about our lack if activity in the transfer market. I think most of us guessed there was a lot of work going on in the background, but it appears as if some people expect all our transfers to be completed the day the window opens. :old:

Couldn’t agree more mate.
A lot of childlike comments and posts regarding this. I was getting sick of trying to explain things

There are a few people on here who just like to criticise the club every opportunity they get. I think the majority of people were confident the club were working hard to bring in the players we need. Great business so far.

Looks promising. I trust Warnock, Dalman etc., and I'm sure they have been busting a gut in the background to add quality to the squad. A week or so from now would be the time to have a moan about lack of signings and ambition. I expect a lot of clubs will be active in the transfer market right up until the window closes on Aug 8th or whenever it is.

Good investments all round tbf, I can see the players brought in only increasing in value, but hope a few really love it here, boss the championship and make that premiership size step up in ability, think Nelson and this whyte kid will definitely be one's I'm keen to see develop and progress

I'll be interested to see the look of the squad once the window closes. I think another 3 players and we have a decent chance.

Yeah I think we will see quite a few go yet, smithies, Cunnginham, Tomlin, at least one of if not both of Bogle and Medine.

I'm really impressed with the signings so far. I definitely think they have identified areas in the starting 11 and the squad that needed addressing and have done well so far.

I've been looking at this with a bigger picture in mind, too. I've been convinced since last May that Warnock was building a squad for this season, so I'm very much considering Murphy, Reid and co signed over the last 12 months as part of this squad building process ready for this year.

Yes we haven't spent 20 mil on a proven 20+ goal a year striker, but realistically, I don't think we ever were going to. I look at the quad as a whole instead and you can pick out a good handful of players who I feel should be aiming for 10+ goals this year. And that's what is keeping me optimistic for this year. I'm a strong believer that in the championship, you need a good squad of good players, rather than the odd amazing player and relying on them, and that's what I see in this squad.

If I had to be pushed to pick areas that we could strengthen further, I'd be looking at right back, a creative midfielder, and maybe one more striker. It seems strange to think about how perfect the "ideal" idea of Tomlin would be for this squad, but I don't think we'll see it. I completely agree that players (probably those mentioned) need to be off-loaded before we see any replacements in those 3 areas.

Overall though, really pleased and really quite optimistic about this season.

Wouldnt get rid of many of those

though actually looks like etheridge is staying so smithies yeah, and madine i guess.

Not sure why cunningham though, would leave us with 1 left back.

Connolly, Damour, Jazz, Smithies, Madine or Bogle

It's not who I would get rid of but who I think Warnock may try to offload. I forgot about Connolly and Demour who will probably move on as well although I think if keep Demour.

Jazz they gave a new 1 year deal to I believe so not sure on that one - god knows why.

Crap window

Didnt sign Bale when he obviously wanted a move

Didnt spend the £100m Prem money

Tbh I think it's been fantastic .

Warnock knows exactly what he needs

We do need to ship players out but this is s competing young squad

Top 6 for sure

Top 2 let's see
