Toshack completely right. Bale G ad some high profile successful moments there but clearly hasnt done the business game in game out. And not helped himself one bit with the language bit. A foreigner at ccfc or any premier league club would be slaughtered by fans and media on the back of it.

Toshacks forgotten more than you’ll ever know about football. He’s been there, done it here and in Spain. He learnt the language and knows how it all works so I’d say he’s more than entitled to give his opinion.

GB can speak Spanish,although its not the easiest language in the world trust me. Whilst I can now speak it having the confidence to do it when speaking to a Spanish person isn't the easiest, especially when they are in full flow, accents being one of the hardest to get a grip with, if you think the difference say between Cardiff and Geordie is wide, Spanish is far harder.

As for culture, yes its different but nothing that should affect a football player.

The clear difference is between GB and ZZ nothing to do with culture.

Some people simply cannot learn a different language, but that doesn't make them ignorant or disrespectful, he's done alright in his time there football wise,and that's what he gets paid for

IF it was that IMPORTANT to the club why DID THEY not put it into the CONTRACT that he had LEARN or speak their language .Maybe they were MORE INTERESTED in his football skills.

Just remember he only coached Swansea and hasn’t coached here since other than wales then stabbed a few people in the back to get the job and if he do great why did wales sack him

Why do people still think he can't speak spanish, he has taken lessons so why make stuff up? even one of the madrid players said he speaks to him in spanish but he's really self conscious about it

Just for curiosity reasons,when did Bale last have an amazing game of football for either Real or Wales.

Similarities to the Ian Rush situation when he moved to Juventus. You've got to try and embrace the culture and language of your new club.
