As someone else has eluded to he has a poor injury record. But if we get a fully fit Connor Wickham I would be over the moon, suits our play perfectly.

At one point looked like he had a promising future.

But his injuries ruined his career.

Would he be much better than Madine, Paterson or Bogle? I'm not so sure.

He's certainly good enough at Championship level but that injury record has to be a worry.

I would have him 3rd choice amongst our strikers currently.
He will only improve our striking options in numbers not quality

He was to be the next big thing when he was an 18 year old at Ipswich but doesn't seem to have kicked on. He was quite a big lad for his age and I am not sure if he was one of those players who matured very early and wasn't going to get any better.

Was one of those once very promising players who never lived up to the hype. In his best two seasons he scored 8 and 9 goals at championship level. In the last three seasons he has scored exactly 2 goals though to be fair he missed the entirety of one of those seasons. He is pretty much an expensive croc these days and has all the hallmarks of the next Paul Lambert. Quite honestly these days he is no better than Patterson,Ward and Bogle. Don't touch with a ten foot barge pole.

I can't believe some of the comments on this thread.The gaffers back room staff will not be fooled if he is a crock and technically he would be the best up front for us in a long time.I remember seeing him down here at 17 for Ipswich I think and his ability stuck out like a sore thumb.Although a big fella I think too much was asked of him too soon and although he's quite brave his young body couldn't take the knocks.I'd have this lad in a heart beat.

Got Cala sent off in the end of season drubbing at Sunderland and scored 2 goals.

As most have said, this will surely be a plan X or Y, if everything goes wrong then Warnock may have to gamble on crock like Wickham, but I doubt it will come to that and he will get one of is 1st or 2nd choice Strikers in before the transfer window slams shut!

Nothing on the CPFC forum about this. Seems unlikely we would sell Zohore and buy a more injury prone player instead.
If we get a decent centre forward in then I think he will come from abroad. ?
Leeds have been bidding for Andrea Petagna..... Someone like that would get us all excited. Just a pity we didn't invest in a C.F.before last season in the Prem.
I still think we need a good centre forward to have a good chance of making the play offs (or better).
