So after 45 years of supporting the club you’ve had enough. Although we’ve had our most successful period for 50 odd years since Tan has been running the club? Doesn’t seem like you’ve got much reasoning for you giving up your support. Especially over a lack of transfers that are obviously imminent.

The OP is not alone
Many many feel the same.
It will be interesting to
Check out the St sales this season.
We can't keep hiding behind our Wembley appearances.
We should be pushing for greatness now.
We could be bigger than half the current prem sides.
But never maintain momentum....
People can give up in the end.
Let's hope we get some players in to get some hope and spirit in and smash this league, starting with a win at Wigan

Odd.
Personally I support the club no matter what. Certainly wouldn't stop just because we don't have a super rich owner willing to throw money at us.
I can suggest Man City tho

Hide behind Wembley appearances???? The last one was 7 years ago and you seem to have forgotten that since then we have spent 2 of the 6 seasons in the top flight.

Luke, we always get one or two of these posts every year. They claim to have supported the club for 40 odd years so they must have terrible memories ffs.
But like you say, there’s always Man City, Liverpool and Sky armchair football.

Strange post from someone who has supported the club for 45 years. Like me, he will have known more downs than ups, and will have spent a lot of time watching us when we were a crap side playing against equally crap teams in front of 3 or 4k crowds. In recent years he will for the first time ever, watched us play at the highest level against the best sides, and as a bonus, will not have been worried about his team being put out of business or docked points because of outstanding debts that cannot be paid because the club is skint.
A new stadium, a recent club record of £15m for the purchase of a player, PL football twice, FA Cup final, new training ground being sorted, and a club that should not have any massive outstanding debts within a couple of years, as well as a club expected to be up towards the top end of the table this season. If all this makes someone want to give up, I should think Tan's attitude would be to say close the door on your way out, particularly as the season has not even started and we know there are almost certainly going to be additions to the squad in the next week or so.

What you stayed loyal during the Alan Durban days but now quit because we haven't yet signed a striker? Frankly you're not fooling me either
Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:13 am
Is this the message board equivalent of click bait, or are you serious ?!
I’ve been a supporter since 2002 (I was 10), and to be fair it’s been up and up since then. Obviously we’ve had some rough patches in that time, but in reality I’ve seen a good period for the club since supporting City.
I’d like to think that if I was born 10-20 years earlier, I’d still support the boys when they were in the lower leagues. That would still be the case today if we were in leagues 1, 2 or even lower !
Judging by how long you’ve said you’ve supported the club, surely you’ve seen those times in the lower divisions. So I’m calling bull !
Unfortunately people go out looking for misery these days.
We’ve still got a very capable squad ! I agree we could do with a few more, but we have to trust that the club are doing everything possible to get lads in.

Now that would be an eye opener for any new fans , the Alan Durban years.
Having to leave the dugout for his own safety and hide from the cardiff fans in an away game at Exeter in the f a cup

Funny thought the transfer window was open for 2 more weeks.
We have also signed more players then half the Prem btw

Grow up ffs you sound pathetic. Warnock did make a statement saying what positions he wants to bring in s we can probably expect at least 2 people to come in before the window shuts in like 2 WEEKS! There is still plenty of time left yet. We didnt sign Arter and camarasa until the last day of the transfer window last year.

Maybe that's why they say 'football has changed'

Being serious though how can the OP seriously claim we have a 'lack of ambition' when during the Durban days we had a lack of ambition to even play a game of football never mind anything else.
Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:47 am
The OP is a quite frankly a moron and I am embarrassed we have this set of clueless baffoons supporting our boys in blue.
Some people forget how close knit our team is and that gives us an extra 10% in a promotion chase because WE PLAY as a TEAM unlike a lot of other teams that fall short.
There's still plenty of time and I believe we will see some surprise signings before the window slams shut

How strange
Allegedly supported the club for over 40 years and now decide fed up...
So you didn’t feel like this with clemo, or lunar, or Sam
Think you need a reality check of where we are and how far we have come from the dark days.
Your choice, your loss.
